I mean, I'm sure you don't like it as I know you've complained in the 49ers-Packers thread about officiating (well, at least when it goes against the 49ers lol). But man do we love it here in Seattle and I think other teams' fans are going to see how exciting it is to have a defense that plays with real aggression regardless of what the modern NFL would like.

I actually hope this style permeates the league, and I think it will. For years I couldn't stand the effect of defensive pass interference in the NFL's attempt to create more offense. Finally we are seeing at least one secondary that is really hearkening back to an older, more physical style of football.

Of course a lot of teams and fans like you aren't going to like it, but that's natural as it is the Seahawks who are doing it and right now the Seahawks are not liked by a lot of different teams and their fanbases. That's okay. I'm sure once your team, in this instance the 49ers, adopts this style you will defend it vigorously.
No, people don't like the Seahawks because they talk a lot without really achieving anything yet. Especially that the Seahawks are exploiting a loophole, so how good is there defense is the refs through flags on every play?

Of course you are going to love it, you are a Seahawks fan. Hard for you to not be bias towards them. I don't hate the talking Sherman does, as my favorite NBA player is Reggie Miller, but it's another thing to act like that in a public setting during interviews.

I love defense as much as the next guy, but the way the Niners and Panthers play defense is the way I like to see it play. The Seahawks get away with stuff that is against how the rules are set now.

I see the Seahawks as those jocks in high school who are good at sports and talk the loudest, but it's those quiet ones(teams like the Patriots, Steelers, Packers, etc.) who go on to make the most money(in this case, titles.)

I really do wish the refs would call that pass interference every time it's there, because you are there to enforce the rules at all times, not when ever you feel like it. I'm all for playing physical with corners, but within the rules and not taking advantage of refs not doing their job right.

Also, let's not start on the Aderall problems.
NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers
    NBA: Indiana Pacers
    MLB: Cleveland Indians
    NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers
    NASCAR: Ryan Newman

One day, Purdue Men's Basketball and Football will become relevant again.

These personal foul calls are horrible for the game man...if they go an offseason without taking a serious look at the them, it will just be embarrassing by the NFL...

Personally I think there needs to be some kind of open Rules Summit that brings in current players and coaches. Bring in the ex coaches and players and former officials and I think we can get things hashed out.

There is just too much inconsistency with the way the game is called across the board.

Players are getting paid, most don't care beyond that or they'd take issues like that to the public and lobby competition committee and the owners for changes where possible.

I would like to see them get rid of the "need conclusive evidence" to overturn a call.

I get the point, and I get that that starts to make it more subjective and they are trying to avoid that, but we are defaulting to a call that is made in real time versus calling something based on multiple angles just because it's close.

Also, we need to have a central review group in New York. Take it out of the refs hands. That is the area where the NHL has it right.

Mike Pereira would be perfect to hire to head up that operation.

So I don't know if the times have been announced yet but with the Broncos winning, the NFL is presented with a very interesting decision with regards to scheduling for next week.

Traditionally, on Championship Sunday, there is a game played at 1 and 4 but that isn't possible this year since you can't have the game in Denver at 11 or the Seattle game at 10 locally.

I'm interested to see what they do.

I'd prefer they play both games at 4:30 on Saturday and Sunday but I would bet they do a 4:30/8:00 lineup next Sunday.

                    Thoughts?

Edit: Nevermind, looks like it's already decided since CBS just showed a promo for their pregame show next Sunday at 3.

AFC Title game is at 3:30(1:30 MST) and the NFC Game is at 6:00(3:00 PST).

Pretty much always been like that with each conference switching times every year.

Biggest winner today is the NFL. NE at Denver and SF at Seattle. Can't think of a better Sunday the league could possibly ask for. Old and new star quarterbacks on display.

Just wish NE played the late game. Need a warm up to take the edge off a little.

On a personal level I've been over the whole "Manning vs. Brady" thing for about 3 years and I hate both of the NFC teams, so it's whatever.
