Agree on the acting. But I blame more of that on the directing and writing. They had some guys that knew how to act. I think its a show that if it was allowed to continue it would've filled out the cast and flushed out story lines better.

That said, I actually didn't really enjoy the show, because I didn't like the writing. Still PPM, give it a look. I haven't watched it in years so my opinions are quite dated.

Michael Bennett on Seahawks hometown discount:

"There is no such thing as discount," Bennett said. "This isn't Costco, this isn't Walmart. This is real life."

I hope the Seahawks re-sign him because he's a great player, obviously. But also because he is so damn hilarious.

I know this falls under old news. But reading the CBA:

"During the regular season, padded practices for all players shall be limited to a total of fourteen, eleven of which must be held during the first eleven weeks of the regular season, and three of which must be held during the remaining six weeks of the regular season."

There are HS football teams that have more padded practices in three weeks of football than an NFL team will have all year.

Yeah, theoretically that will allow for longer careers and/or seasons because of less wear and tear. There are reductions in the offseason too, no two-a-days, and overall reduced training camp by a few weeks.

Belichick at one point suggested the shortened offseason and new limitations played a part in the uptick in injuries I think.

Think there's a lot of fine tuning to be done there, but one season isn't enough data for bigger changes.

Not even high school. We had more than that in a month of Pop Warner football, let alone middle school.

Half the NFLs policies are a joke, but I guess "It's good to be king" really applies here.

Haha the Bennett family is always good for a funny quote. I miss Martellus for the funny things he said in NY.

Cleveland Browns fans school me on Micheal Lombardi. Is he has worthless as I perceive him to be. Reports are suggesting he will be hired in New England.

I'm not a Browns fan but Lombardi was in personnel there when Belichick was running the show in the early to mid '90s. They did draft and find some useful players back then so I can see this being a pretty good reunion.

To be fair, he's on the tail end of his career. The average age of retirement in the NFL is 30. He's in win now mode.

He's been in "win now" mode since he came into the league, if that's the arbitrary baseline we're putting out there.

and after being a 28 year old rookie is still simultaneously in 'hope i can get a contract and stick with a team' mode.

Mike Bennett might leave Seattle. My pick for where he will go is Carolina to play with the rest of their great pass rush defense, but I'd like the Patriots to pick him up to try and fix this defense, especially if Wilfork leaves.
