    No ESPN analyst is more dedicated to his craft than John Clayton.

    This is actually well done, didn't expect that from Clayton

      It's understandable, but I think it's funny that each game each week gets its' own thread on OS and the NHL gets an entire season in one... hehe.

            NFL = far and away the most popular sport in America.

            NHL = not so much.

              The league revenue per thread ratio works out to be about the same.

                Along with the popularity argument, each NFL team plays 16 games, once a week. Each game is more important than any of the other major sports bc of that, and each thread has more time to get going... and run out of steam bc of the timeframe.

                One thread for an entire season is kind of crazy, but even basketball and baseball have a catch all for each week.

                    I like Russell Wilson a lot, I loved rooting for him at Wisconsin last year and I'm really happy for him...

                    But god dammit do I feel bad for Matt Flynn.

                      The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms on a contract with former Packers quarterback Matt Flynn, the team announced Sunday.

                      The contract is worth $26 million with $10 million guaranteed, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
                      I don't feel bad for him.

                        I kind of do too, but Flynn should've known exactly what he was getting into. Pete Carroll said from the moment he signed him that this would be an open competition. It's the media/fans' fault for not believing him.

                        And of course as much of a Russell Wilson fan as I am, I think Flynn will end up having an opportunity to play at some point this year whether it's due to performance or injury. So he's gotta be ready to step up again!

                                SNF has obviously taken over as the new marquee game of the week. Just looking at the MNF schedule and it's sad...NFL isn't even trying to hide the fact that SNF gets the better games, and the 'flex scheduling' perk to boot. ESPN must feel gipped for paying so much for games that some weeks that are downright awful.

                                Dallas, New England, Pittsburgh, only appearing once on 'Monday Night Football' says enough about where the NFL rates this iteration of it.
