Jeremy Ross said that Jahvid Best might be getting into a track career. They were friends at Cal just in case you're wondering why he would know that.

Yeah, I had heard about that stabbing late last night. So it seems to be a gang related thing but isn't this like the 3rd time some fan has been killed or injured critically after an NFL game? This is a very troubling sign and it's not only happening at NFL stadia but also after baseball games too.

WTF is going on out there?!

The last incident the 'victim' was caught breaking into a car and collapsed during the struggle that ensued.

These type of things can happen after any sporting event. I will say fans at NFL games are way nastier to each other inside the stadium than the other 3 major sports.

Had this team gone 7-9, 8-8 this year, I think that he would've been in a place next year to again compete for the division title and with the influx of cash (estimate $51 million in cap space) improved the Oline and WRs through the draft and FA.

He also made some really bad moves. Namely hiring his son to run the offense. He was naturally inclinced to defend his son at the expense of his QBs. Bringing McNabb here was just arrogant. He was going to fix a careers worth of mechanical flaws in one or two seasons? Failing to relieve Keith Burns of his job after the Bears game, in which Chicago's special teams just embarrassed them. His constant lies and manipulation of the media and his inability to find, fix and fire those responsible for the leaks, that is all on him.

All things being equal I would love for there to be a way to fix this mess. The man said he needed 5 years to fix the Redskins and FWIW I still believe him. As far as his legacy, that is tough. He deserves a lot of credit for Davis and the defense, but Elway was a special talent and that makes a lot of things easier.
I even give Burns a little slack bc all that money they lost cut the special teams more than anything else. Personally, I think if he wasn't so sneaky with the lies and all I wouldn't really have a problem with him or what Shanny's done with the the team at all.

As for Mike, I believe he wants to be here(and he should BTW)but at the same time I also believe that he'd make it very difficult for Snyder to get rid of him without paying him what he's owed.
I think N51_rob already said it but I agree with you, Kyle is qualified and has performed the job well enough. The problem is when the heat comes from any direction, it's family first and extremely unprofessional.

They can happen at any big event, especially something that generally involves a lot of alcohol. I doubt the game had anything to do with it.

Oh yeah, incidents like that can/will happen anywhere. All I was saying was fans within an NFL stadium are far more cruel to each other than what I've personally experienced while attending other sporting events. Not at all a family friendly atmosphere.

Apparently it was over a traffic incident rather than football-related.

Thursday night's stabbing at the parking lot of Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium apparently did not involve issues between Chargers and Broncos fans, according to the Denver Police Department.

This is not true. He was not breaking into a car. It was a drunk guy that was in a car that was the same make and model of his car, 10 cars away from where he was parked, and he thought it was his car. He was apparently sleeping in the vehicle when a guy and his son got back to the vehicle and saw him in it, where a fight ensued and the guy ended up dying after a struggle.

There was no "break in" going on.

So he was in a car that didn't belong to him, how's that not a break in?

KCTV5 reported that it was a father and son who left the stadium and headed to their car at some point during the game. When they arrived there, they found another man “rifling through the vehicle.”
Regardless of initial intent it still sounds like a break in to me.....

Just came across this video that shows behind the scenes for what it takes to broadcast a game. I'm not sure if it was posted before but here it is

I'd say a widely accepted definition of "breaking in" is being in somewhere you're not supposed to be.

Pretty big difference between breaking in with some bad intent...and falling asleep because your drunk and thought it was your car.

None of this is anywhere near some of the crazy stuff you hear about happening at soccer games around the world though.

Those are usually the incidents where people kill somebody because their team lost, or they thought a Referee call that went against the team they root for was incorrect.

Aren't there some countries where the Ref crews arrive, and leave the stadiums with an Armored Police escort?
