I totally understand and will generally only watch the Steelers or Irish live. Everything else, no thanks.

There are nearly 9 million people in the 9 counties around the San Francisco Bay Area.

I get that the stadium is a dump, but I have no idea why the Raiders would leave that region with that large of a potential revenue stream.

The Vegas metro area has roughly 2 million people. They can boast 40 million tourists a year, but they're there to gamble. How many will want to spend 4 hours of their Sunday at a football game?

This is like the Sonics leaving for OKC. Long-term, it's just a moronic decision.

            Re: NFL Off Topic

Well a lot of the football fans in the area are 49ers fans.

Plus they get competition now from the Warriors and Giants, who are not good this year but have a great stadium.

On top of that, there are a lot of other entertainment options here so people aren't only spending money on sporting events.

In fact like a lot of areas, younger people aren't as into sports and NFL has a hard time getting people to attend games because they've priced out a lot of people, not just with ticket prices but parking and concessions.

It also doesn't help that watching games on TV is a pretty good experience, with Red Zone and the ability to have your iPad or laptop at hand to check your FF.

A city like LV or San Antonio which has never had the NFL might have greater interest from fans in attending, at least for a couple of years.

I don't understand why offensive personal fouls are not a loss of down.

BS ending to the Raiders/Titans 1st half. Everyone screwed up, including the clock operator. Dumb as hell.

Sure you're not watching the Minnesota / Carolina game?

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
