Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
I heard Miller practiced today, so that's great news. Peterson was also officially ruled out.
Going to Minnesota makes me nervous. Denver doesn't seem to fair there very well. The only good memory I have is that time they won on the tipped pass caught by Easy Ed. The rest is filled with the likes of laterals by Moss and Gerald Wilhite 'putting his foot on backwards' just before he got into the endzone. Ouch.
I hate that Viking horn.Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
The complexion of this team is so different from any other that I can remember. I used to 'expect' the Broncos to win every week. Over the past two years, that went to just hoping they were competitive. As unconventional as it's been, this past month has been fun. Who would have ever thought we'd hear Denver being talked about as a pla.... not going to say it yet (maybe if they beat Minnesota and Chicago).Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
The bubble will burst and soon. So right now as Denver fans we just have to enjoy the wins and hope this Tim Tebow thing keeps working out. Also I heard a lot of so called "experts" saying during the draft that the Broncos should not have taken Von Miller. Boy has that blown up in their face, he has been great.Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
This was the first game where I saw Tim Tebow play as a pure quarterback. This game really made me excited for Tebow's future. No read-option, no Tebow draws. Just Tim Tebow, mostly under center, dropping back and playing with consistency, accuracy, and good judgment. Tebow's major weapon was his arm, and he made great use of it. 10 for 15 and 202 yards? Very nice. Yes, the Vikings pass-defense sucks, but these kind of games are confidence-builders. His throws were on-target.
The defense missed Von Miller, and I knew they would. And Andre Goodman was roasted for most of the game. But he got the last laugh, so kudos to him for that.
If Tebow can play like this on a regular basis, the Broncos are going to shine.Comment

He's showing signs he can definitely do it. He will continue to improve. I loved how he played yesterday, making plays with his arm. I think he only had four rushing attempts. Plus, if Demaryius runs through the ball on that third and long throw to the endzone, that's another TD. Even so, nice to see Demaryius make some plays. I think we are going to see more of him. He's not a precise route runner, but I think he'll excel when Tebow scrambles. I like how Tebow is continuing to look downfield when he does scramble.
I couldn't believe how they just kept coming back after giving up those 2nd half TD's...and fast. Vikings score, Broncos answer in one or two plays. Are you kidding me? In the past, the Broncos lose that type of game 9/10 times. The wheels could have come off so many times, but they didn't. People are saying "it's just the Vikings and their injury riddled defensive backfield", but that was a huge win for Denver.
Meril Hoge needs to just shut up. Tebow is making him look like a fool. Why does that dude have such an axe to grind against Timmy?
How awesome is it to see Denver in the p**yo*f bracket when they put up that graphic?!?!Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
All the nay-sayers are just waiting for Tebow to have a bad game and/or for Denver to lose just so they can come out and say, "See...that's what I've been talking about." It's going to happen, Tebow will play horribly and cost them the game. Tebow can bring so much to that offense that you have to allow him some growing pains.
You talk about a nightmare for defensive coordinator trying to scheme to stop this offense. The read option was almost non-existent against Minnesota and I would bet money that they spent a lot of practice time preparing for that. What does Tebow do instead? He plays a more traditional pro-form set and beats them with his arm.
As everybody has been saying around here, Tebow will be get better and when he does...look out.Comment

But yes I do love this just taking one game at a time. Need to show up against the Bears regardless of their last two loses without Cutler. Hopefully Miller can play and we can have a game that we aren't stressing about til the last minute. But for some reason gut says its going to be another close one.Texas A&M Aggies

Great feeling. Let's not get ahead of ourselves yet. Just remember it was only a mere 8 weeks ago they were in bottom 3.

I've been there, as a player. I remember playing this game (hockey), and the team we went up against had a short bench and a terrible record. As a team, we kept waiting for them to fall on their faces, and they just kept coming. Before we knew it, we were down two goals, and we couldn't regain our intensity. They believed they could win, and the intensity was theirs. Once you lose that intensity, you're screwed.
That game sticks with me every time I play or coach. I saw that a bit in the Denver defense (especially in the eyes of Goodman). I was glad to see Dawkins pull the defense aside and give them a talk. It showed in Goodman's aggression with that last pick. He didn't try to do too much, and remained confident. That's important, and the Eagles are learning a HARD lesson that skill alone cannot win games. A lesson Redskins skins should've been able to tell the Eagles.Comment
