I'm willing to give Beck my support. As much as I didn't like the offense. The Shanahans have tape on Beck and get to see him at practice everyday and work with him, so if Mike thinks this guys is prepared to be the guy here in Washington lets play it out. It cant get a lot worse than last year.

But I really do not see the Redskins going after Young. Look at the last head case they took from the Titans. Plus Vince Young still thinks he deserves starting Quarterback pay and Redskins are not going to do that in my opinion.

Let me put it like this: I'm not going to bet on something unless I'm sure about it. Why would I put myself out on front street like this if I wasn't sure?

It's like this: If free agency starts sooner rather than later, they will sign Young. If FA starts later, they likely won't because he won't have as much time to learn the playbook and Beck and Grossman will battle it out for starting QB.

1 - Vince Young isn't even a free agent yet; notwithstanding his release is likely a foregone conclusion, some team could yet be stupid enough to trade for him first.

2 - What sources whatsoever back up the notion that the Redskins will pick up Vince Young? How does he fit in that team's offense? If Shanahan wants a west-coast-offense quarterback (he's historically always run a run-heavy version of this offense), Young certainly isn't doesn't fit that description.

3 - How would Vince Young be any improvement whatsoever over Donovan McNabb, a quarterback who Shanahan benched last season? I'm not really convinced he'd be an obvious improvement over Rex Grossman, but the talent level of Young is another subject that's being beaten to death in another thread.

I just don't see it.

Seeing how they are going to court June 3, that would be the earliest FA could start. Given that everyone pretty much agrees the players will lose on June 3. FA is a while away.

All that said VY would be a terrible fit in DC. His immaturity being the biggest issue. Skins fans got to see that first hand. McNabb handled all the "disrespect " as well as any pro could. VY didn't even have the support of his own locker room. No way Shanny brings him in.

Free agency COULD start whenever the rule on the stay. If they deny it, free agency will likely begin next week, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I've been trying not to address this but it seems you can't help yourself. If you have a source then share. If you can't or won't then stop talking like you have inside information. I don't know why you feel the need to continue doing it since you have thoughts and opinions that are worthwhile, so why not just stick to that? If you can't reveal where certain information comes from then obviously somebody doesn't want you talking about it... so don't. Otherwise you're full of ****. Either way, best to save it for twitter. A twelve-year veteran quarterback is uncoachable? A six-time Pro Bowl quarterback who has been to five NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl is uncoachable? What?

Detroit was disrespectful IMHO. The game and the BS explanations. The truth didn't come out till quite a few weeks later.

Honestly who would want to go from Philly to Washignton if you want to win. Skins haven't been very good since our 2007 play-off run. Especially given the skill players.

Getting this back on-topic, right now the Redskins projected three-deep at WR is Anthony Armstrong, Malcolm Kelly, and Leonard Hankerson. Ouch. Does Washington have any plans to go after one of the better free agent receivers, such as Santonio Holmes or Vincent Jackson?
