Also, and maybe this should be it's own topic, but I'd like to know everyone's favorite golf vernacular and sayings. Every golfer knows some of the tried and true ones.

For example: When a guy leaves his putt short you ask him if he is wearing his pink panties today. Or asking if his husband plays golf.

When the putt touches the whole area of the whole, people say it was an "all-around" good putt.

I've got a lot more but wanted to see what you guys say/hear.

When someone putts it way too far or short and has to go again, I call it a FISO (pronounced "fy-so", not "fee-so"). It stands for "****, I'm still out."

When I absolutely crush a drive straight down the middle sometimes I like to use the "I am all that is man" line from Super Troopers (Ramathorn after he chugs the syrup).

When someone leaves a putt just short of the hole, like an inch. We call it a South American putt... It only needs one more revolution.

When someone leaves their putt really short, we say, "Did your dress get in the way?"

When you're on the green in two on a par 5 and say "That'll work, I guess..."

That sucks man. Hope you heal quickly.

Another golf saying that I heard recently was they called the putt a "Monica Lewinsky". That is a putt that is "all lip and no hole".

Played night golf tonight with glow balls. About 35-40 people played. 9 holes, scramble format. It was really fun. The glow balls have really come a long way. They go about 80% of normal distance.

Finished 4 under, should have been 5. Missed an easy putt on the 8th hole, burned the edge a lot.

Played again today. I lost a ton of strokes as I found the woods a large number of times. I was opening the club head... Anyways I figured it out on the last hole as my hands and hips finally found unity.

ugh me too. hurt my shoulder playing tennis on wednesday, might need to see the doctor, but I don't have full range of motion back yet and it's quite sore. Bad time for me too, was planning on a couple tournaments in the next month.

Yikes, got out today for the first time since I was on vacation after July 4th (played Hickory Heights in Bridgeville, PA). The front 9 was the most miserable 9 I've played in a long time. Driver was all over the place, irons were all over the place, short game was average at best, but my putting was very good which put me at a 51.

The back 9 went better. I got the driver and my irons going, but my putting started to suffer (greens were drying out so they were getting faster and I wasn't adjusting well). I shot a 47 for a 98 total. Not the score I'd like to shoot, but it was fun nonetheless.

The company I work for plays in a softball league and we've been playing a lot recently. I think swinging a softball bat ruined my golf swing. It took 9 holes to find it again and it's still not 100%. Better hit the driving range before my next outing.

Got out today and still couldn't hit my driver totally straight, gettin better though. My irons were deadly from 160 and closer. I putted pretty well, had 31 putts and shot an 81 at Sand Creek Station. Shot 41 on front and 40 on back. No doubles, had 1 birdie on 18, thought my first birdie would never come. Anyway, still looking to break into the 70s. Only got 3 weeks still school starts up again, so I gotta hit the links a few more times this week.

This is KILLING me as well. It's amazing how swinging a bat a couple of times just ruins my golf swing. Either my baseball swing is that natural to me or my golf swing is that fragile (probably a combo of both). I shot a 102 on Saturday. Front 46, back 56. I took a 10 on 17 and 18. I had pretty much given up by then and was extremely frustrated. I think I need a little time off to regroup...
