Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Releases in Spring 2023
I said it last week and I’ll mention it again, EA PGA 23 MUST have a playoff system similar to TW14…. So essential to the sport.
Imagine if Madden just conceded you the win if it was tied.
Please deliver on this EA!!!Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Releases in Spring 2023
Think your starting to expect too much from this game. Especially since this is going to be 1st iteration. Can we close this thread until we get some actual news? It’s become a whislist threadComment

What's wrong with a wishlist thread? Until we get more info what else is there to discuss?Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Releases in Spring 2023
I highly doubt this game is starting from scratch. With Rory 15 also bring on the same engine, they will more than likely be using a lot of that game as a base.Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Releases in Spring 2023
I really hope they are getting great real golfer input on this.
I'll be tremendously bummed if they just didn't cast a wide enough net and the gameplay or new swing sucks as a result..
Going "stealth" isn't great on something like this. It's one reason I wish it were on PC, as it might increase the chances of some type of closed beta during development. (since that's so easy to do on PC)Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Releases in Spring 2023
You guys have kinda touched on my worst fear for the EA game. I don't care how many PGA courses, mind blowing graphics, real players, trophy presentations there are...if this game doesn't play physically and mechanically at least as well (and hopefully much better) than the current 2k game, we're all going to realize that fact within the first hour of playing it.
More than Augusta and all of the other PGA goodies and PGA exclusives, if this game doesn't play in a realistic, satisfying, and frustrating way like real golf, then it will be a dud. As much as we've all discussed the Rory shortcomings, and it's assets, I never connected with the way the game played...the swing mechanics, ball physics, none of it. I played it daily for a month trying to convince myself otherwise. It just didn't have the "it" factor with gameplay.Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Releases in Spring 2023
Let’s all hope at the very worst the game is good enough that EA wants to make a sequel in 2 or 3 years. I really hope we don’t have to wait another 8 years between games.Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Releases in Spring 2023
If it does come down like that, I will be forever grateful to FINALLY get a next gen Augusta experience. I’ve wondered how it would look since ps4 came out.
I think the game has tons of potential if EA will hit the marks on the new swing system and content .Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Releases in Spring 2023
I just hope they are building this as a long term platform base..
This needs to be EA PGA Tour ... and not so much EA PGA Tour 2023
A golf game doesn't need even close to annual updates. What it needs is a great content library that grows over time while the core software continually gets fixed and upgraded and tweaked.
Though I'm not fan of "subscription anything", this really is a game that would benefit from some core game purchase and then ongoing subscriptions for an additional and growing content library.
2K seemed to be on a good track with that, but not nearly "enough"Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Releases in Spring 2023
I'm pretty sure we're stuck with either an annual of 2 years cycle at the most. For the casuals and arcade players, the game gets old real fast after 6 to 8 months, they move to other games and never look back. Even some of the hardcore at HB are always complaining when is the next game less than a year in the cycle.Comment
