I just looked at the official PGA 2K23 society, and there's currently no event scheduled at all right now past today. I am hoping this means the Pebble drops tomorrow or Thursday, and they have the "e-Series" event to coincide with the real AT&T Pro-Am.

Just giving credit: they fixed instant replays in today's patch. Prior to today, replays failed to follow the ball but zeroed in on the face of the golfer. Now, replays end up following the ball to the hole!

Patch 1.08 is now live across all platforms and includes the below updates:

Course Designer:
-Addressed reported concerns of the measuring tool’s distance indicator disappearing after opening the pause menu
-Addressed reported concerns of measurement lines disappearing when playtesting a course

Topgolf:
-Addressed reported concerns of players being removed from the lobby and sent to the main menu after finishing a Tiebreaker Round of Topgolf

Clubhouse Pass (PS4):
-Addressed reported concerns of an alert message/prompt players may see when trying to purchase Clubhouse Pass Premium

New Content:
-Pebble Beach now available
-Added support for the upcoming release of Payne’s Valley and Waste Management Phoenix Open apparel

I wonder where the 9GB comes from in that patch? Y'all said the courses are all online, so the new course wouldn't be it.

For whatever reason, every patch this game has requires you to essentially re-download the entire game. IDK why that's the case, but it's always been that way for this series.

There are new PUMA apparel items in the pro shop that appear to be connected to the WM Phoenix Open (desert-themed hats, shirts, etc.).

Just in case any one was looking for a new fit.

I did get mine, but the fine print does say that it could be until Feb. 15 before it shows up in your locker.

Well.
As it stands today, HB and 2K appear to have nothing to worry about as far as EA Golf is concerned
So far to me it seems that HB is still very much in the lead as the number 1 golf sim. Warts and all.
Just simply a deeper game.
Now who could have ever expected that?!

Since we have seen nothing from EA but one gameplay trailer and an interview, I think this is an asinine statement lmao

Not sure I agree with this, especially that highlighted part...PGA 2K23 plays well, but to me, it's pretty shallow. Career Mode is lifeless, especially after you beat all the rivals the first time. The whole mode is basically just a way to grind for VC and fittings and get the rival rewards. Outside of that, there's not a ton that keeps calling me back.

We don't know fully what EA's career mode will be like yet, and that's the area where they could truly offer depth not found in 2K23. Sure, that Q&A didn't really seem to get anyone all that excited, but there's still been no raw gameplay shown, and all features haven't been disclosed yet. Lots left up in the air.
