I thought you had to get good cars in the offline mode to race online?

I drive stock cars

I bought a Fairlady Z, but it blew, so I tossed it back up on the AH. I'm sitting at 230,000CR but haven't found a car worth buying. I want to buy a Ligenfelter(sp?), but none of the designs I have seen interest me. People aren't creative these days; all I ever see are tits, anime characters, and godfather/scarface.

Stock cars are cars with no upgrades at all.

Stock cars are just cars that haven't been modified. The way they come from the factory.

I really enjoy playing this game online, but it can be annoying too. One third of the time, the host turns ghost cars on (meaning your car cannot physically touch any other car), another third of the time people purposely PIT you on the last lap.

Like last race I did, it was a hard fought race and I was 3/8 going into last turn on Mazda Seca and this dude barrels into that final turn and crashes me off the track meanwhile his car is good enough to make it to 3. I sputtered to a 7th place finish. I was very angry.

So anyway, I was hoping some OSers still played this a lot maybe we could some more sessions going. Let me know.

does anybody here have any of the unicorn cars? If so, maybe you could gift to it to me for the achievement and then I gift it right back. Those cars go for wayyyyy more money than I'll ever have because some people use the money glitch and I refuse to do so.

I have one of the unicorn cars, however, you don't need them for the all cars achievement. They appear to have been made for the sole purpose of being there for people to burn millions of credits on. I got the lotus for 17 million, which must have been luck, since a lot of the bidders were distracted on a few of the others.

Actually, you can't resell or gift the unicorn cars. So people buying them are either doing so for their own collection, or just out of spite.

and lol 17 million, man I'll never have that much. I can't stop upgrading and buying cars. I'm obsessed with trying to make a bunch of different cars upgraded in different ways for each class for online play. Just finished up an Eclipse GT B-class yesterday, won my first two races with it.

there's four "secret" achievements, I figured since there were four unicorn cars that they served as the four secret achievements. Dunno, maybe I was wrong.

I already got the all cars achievements. They have it broken down into car categories like race cars, production cars, and after market tuner cars. However, it's easier to know you have to just buy every car in the game and have them in your garage at the same time to get all 4 secret achievements.

The race cars suck, since they all cost like 250-350k each.

I don't know two of the four secret car collecting achievements. But I do know that two of these achievements are unlocked for collecting all production cars and for collecting all aftermarket tuner cars.

you'll need near 20 million or so, depending on how you purchase and upgrade cars.
