    Re: Indy Series 2005

Now, I haven't done a 20+ lap race yet - so I may be off for the longer races - but in my races, no. The AI is consistant for the whole race (20 laps) and if you are trailing a car that pulled away from you by 2 seconds, you have to race your butt off to catch him. Two-tenths here, one-tenth there, it will take a couple laps of consistant speedy times to reel that car in.

Again, this might be different on the longer races.

I'm not talking about the AI all of a sudden speeding up in the middle of a race. I mean the AI's speed would be tweaked according to how fast you drive. If you win a race by (x amount) then the AI would be sped up (y amount) next time you race.

I don't know. I'd probably have to run a few more races. Usually, my races are either grab pole and go on to win or qualify 26th and proceed to crash and take out some other cars in the process. I'd have to do more research to see if the way you described the AI is how it is in the game.

Are there yellow flag issues in this game? I'm playing the first race in the Indy Car Series, at Homestead I think, quarter length, and there was a crash around lap 21, and it went to auto drive, and has been there since. I'm now at lap 41, of a 50 lap race....I just put down the controller and have been watching my other tv and surfing the web for 10 mins or so. So far it's a great game, but this is really frustrating, i'm not sure how to fix it

found a post at dsp, i've had caution autodrive off, but i'll have to turn AI adjust off, which really sucks because now I have to take forever to learn how to tinker with the car. Besides the very little help you get from masterclass, i have no clue how to best tune my car to get it up to the speed the AI runs at. At this point i'm not sure if I want to run the millions of practice laps changing one little thing each time to figure it out

Mgo, that's exactly why I stayed away from ICS 2005.

You have to know exactly how to fine tune your car, deal with the caution issues in the game, etc.

I'm sure it's a solid game, but not for me.
