What do you guys think? Is it smart to get this one over the Nyko one? Hmm...

This one would probably work better for me since I generally only play by myself and don't need to two charging ports in the Nyco one. But it's nice having the two battery packs so I always have a charged up wiimote waiting for me.

I wonder how it is as far as trustworthy source and product quality. I usually only play by myself anyway so that's not a big issue.

I wish I wasn't on an unsecured wireless connection, otherwise I would just buy and try it.

I'm never heard of Pengiun United and I don't ever remembering seeing this in stores anywhere. Most of the ones I have seen are always the double docks. If you have two remotes, I would spring for the Nyko one because having an extra controller to switch to when the one you're playing with dies is great.

              Re: Official Wii Discussion

I'm soon to be a Wii owner and wondered if I'm on the right track in terms of what I need to pick up.

Console (w. Wii Sports and Wiimote/nunchuck)
Extra remote/nunchuk (both needed for great multiplayer games I presume?)
              Component cables
              Metroid Prime 3
              MLB Power Pros

Other than that, I'm thinking I should pick up a traditional controller for games like MLB Power Pros, etc...Should I get the classic or gamecube?

Can't wait for Super Mario Galaxy either!

If you plan on downloading games off of the Virtual Console you want the Classic Controller...the GC one, while it works, isn't as intuitive as the classic.

I'd also recommend 'Super Paper Mario' and 'Zelda'. 'Carnival Games' if you have a family.

Enjoy, and be sure to share your code!

*And while I'm at it, I need the Wii owners here to add me again...only half of the codes I entered have been reciprocated. *

Thanks! Super Paper Mario and Zelda are definite purchases down the road. I'm already in hot water for wanting a second console, so Metroid Prime and Power Pros will have to do for now.

Also, what is code thing again? I can see your Mii on my screen?

If you've never played RE4 (and really even if you did) I would also look at this game for the Wii. ELebits also even though it's sort of off kilter a little it is different and fun.

Cool, thanks. Resident Evil certainly looks like a worthy purchase too. Never played the series but I can see myself turning out the lights and having some fun with this one.

I'm also VERY excited for Raving Rayman Rabbids 2 (hope I got that right). I love humorous games and the real-world backdrop looks very well done too.

Yeah, you have an address book where you can enter other peoples' codes, and when they add you as well...you can exchange Miis. Other Miis on their console will also appear in your parade.

No other functionality yet, and knowing Nintendo there probably won't be...

So do people's Miis turn out pretty accurate sometimes?

Yes and no. I can make myself and my son OK but my wife can't get one to look right.

However, some of the celebrity ones (and a few users here) have spot on Miis.

I second Paper Mario and Zelda as purchases! I think you also should get the Nyco Rechargable Wii Controller station. It works great and it will save you some AA's.
