From Xbox dashboard this morning, they said sign into windows live ID and click New Dash Preview.

Also does it matter what my download speed is, I have no clue about that one...lol. Nevermind, Just did a Speed test to find it out.

no it doesn't matter how you answer the survey, pretty much anyone that wanted in on the preview is in.

Bout to go boot the 360 up, if I don't get the update I don't know what's wrong. I signed up during "Phase 1," and they're now onto "Phase 3" and I haven't got any confirmation that I'm in.

according to folks in the xbox.com forums, the update also changes the size of some games when installed to the HDD. There's a whole list of games.

L4D goes from 5.0 to 3.8 GB
Rock Band 2 is down to 4.2 GB
Burnout Paradise went from 3.4 GB to 2.8 GB
Fallout 3 dropped 1 GB in size
etc.

Wow at Fallout 3 dropping to 1GB.

Hopefully this doesn't mean a combination of loading off the HDD and DVD drive though.

my bad, I meant Fallout 3 dropped a gig in size when installed now. MS probably found some way to eliminate dummy files or whatever, which is useful when downloading the 360 games from Live soon.

They play the same, BK is right, they just eliminated files to save space.

Done 2 games so far, saved over 2 gigs with L4D and Burnout.

So far on my HDD

L4D from 5 gigs to 3.7
RB2 from 6.3 to 4.6
Burnout from 3.4 to 2.8
GTA IV from 6.8 to 6.5
NCAA 10 from 6.2 to 5.5

4.6 gigs saved
