If you are in the United States, you can now use PayPal as a method of payment for the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

You can use PayPal to buy Microsoft Points without having to associate your credit card information to your Xbox LIVE account. If you are new to PayPal, please sign up first and then follow the steps below to associate your account with Xbox LIVE.

It’s pretty easy and just like adding a credit card to your account. Sign in to Xbox.com and head to the account summary page. From there choose “Manage Payment Options” (from the left navigation menu) then click “Add a new PayPal Account.” Follow the instructions and you’ll be set up in no time.


A couple of things to point out:

PayPal is currently supported for Xbox LIVE users in the U.S. only.
PayPal can only be used to purchase Microsoft Points on Xbox.com.
PayPal accounts are not available for purchasing Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360 console.
You can associate multiple Pay Pal accounts with your Xbox LIVE account.

yep, was playing some COD: WaW and right around the same time I couldn't connect anymore. Reset my internet and restarted the xbox and still can't connect.

looks like it's just temporary. I got the following message under the "xbox live status"

"Users may experience difficulties with the following services: 'signing into Xbox Live from and Xbox console' We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience."

Ok, I called xbox about the connection issue and they said that people who got the XNE preview are the ones with the most problems, They also told me that there are about 150 other people that called in about the same problem. It scared me at first...lol. They told me it should be fixed by 6:30pm Eastern Time, that was 2 hours ago. Its 20 minutes till. I will check at that time and see. Kind of ticks ya off...lol. I guess thats why its called a beta program...XD.

You mean themes? Some, mostly movie related, advertisement related like Sprint or Wendy's themes.

I think I'm done paying for themes unless something bad *** comes out as half the theme is cut anyway.

Considering that you can get the disc version of this game now for less than or around $20 at some places. I could be wrong, but I don't see this working as well for videogames like it did for music imo........considering how much cheaper you can buy an entire album on iTunes vs. buying the CD from the store.

yeah, having higher prices than used games is one thing, but pricing them higher than retail is laughable. $30 for Call of Duty 2, which was a launch title? LOL..this is worse than the xbox originals failure. It's like they're trying to sabotage DD or something.

Everything about DD is cheaper for the developers and publishers, yet consumers have to pay the "don't piss off retailers" tax.

I just went through and found a couple of free ones. Like you mentioned, they're advertisements mostly. But I'll take it. Right now, I'm rocking Foot Locker's House of Hoops theme. It has that clean look to it. Plus, as a Bball fan, can't really go wrong there.

I just went through and found a couple of free ones. Like you mentioned, they're advertisements mostly. But I'll take it. Right now, I'm rocking Foot Locker's House of Hoops theme. It has that clean look to it. Plus, as a Bball fan, can't really go wrong there.

Awesome. Didn't even know there was a Footlocker theme. Going to download that later tonight.

Also has anyone used Pay Pal yet on XBL?
