      Re: Xbox 720

Sometimes I feel bad for people who have lives much more exciting than my own, that have to worry about this stuff. My life is so plain and vanilla, that MS can watch me to their hearts content. If they want to watch me on the couch playing video games for a few hours, have at it. Spy on me while I wash the dishes or tell my kid to do his homework, feel free. LOL, heck the government is more than welcome to tap my phone and listen in as the wife and I discuss who is taking the kid to practice, or listen to my buddy and I discuss how bad my fantasy football team is. LOL, I am so lame.

So, why/how would anyone sue for something they agree to. Also a consumer would have a hella'va time trying to provide proof that they 'spied' on them, even so they still agree to it through the TOS and I agree that it would state that they own all video/audio.

The unfortunate truth is; that this is the future and this is gonna be how it is unless you leave future tech alone.

The fact that you cannot believe this is happening is amazing to me.

MS has already filed patents for similar tech as I have provided in this thread already.

What really bothers me about this post is the intentional perpetuation of the presumed matter. In just considering the sources and then how you bold and put in red sentences that you hope will reinforce your agenda (which is to invoke sensationalism), this really speaks to why internet "news" is sometimes wrapped up in creating faux stories to generate hits.

Sometimes when one thing isn't true to what you believe (in this case the camera taking pictures of whatever it wants, whenever it wants), you just need to accept that and quit trying to force the issue.

So you target my style of writing rather than the content.

The bolds/reds are only to add emphasis in areas I consider important for further thought, red being more critical than bold. Reinforce my agenda, no agenda, merely pointing out some quite disturbing issues (possibly) in regards to personal privacy.

First off, its neither true or false since it is not out yet. But based off their patents (and their wordage, "at any time"), some people are concerned about possible privacy issues.

"I just need to accept that", see now this is a clear example of someone trying to force an issue. How about the fact that not everything in this world is all "sunshine, rainbows and fairy tales" and unfortunately it does have darker, sinister side... there are always two sides to a coin.

Also I did not know PCworld.com, MSN.com and Dailymail.co.uk were 'terrible' sources, they seem to be pretty mainstream and credible sources to me. I could add Forbes.com, BusinessInsider.com and others as well. I have a suspicion that you are experiencing cognitive dissonance in regards to the content presented.

You realize "their wordage" doesn't come from Facebook, but is part of the text describing the permission being granted to the app, right?

Was referring to the 'wordage' of the patents describing what they would like to do. Even still the FB app wordage still says "at any time", could you please at any time define that phrase for me and please go into detail on what kind of a time frame that encompasses. You did not read my reply to Aholbert I see.

Yes I put that part in red bold due to the fact that I think its important on what he said, trying to catch notice to who he is and what he does and why he is concerned more importantly.

As for the pictures, that is the only place I could find a pic of what I was talking about w/o scouring 'forever' to find the pic. Again more discrediting the source/writing style rather than the info.

I notice how you also did not see my post where I go further into what I am getting at. *looks at post replying to Aholbert*.

Note to yourself how you did not talk about any of the content presented and rather ridicule my style again even after I'd explain why I wrote it like that and choose to ignore the content, again, instead of discussing like an adult about a likely feature (sourced from; their patents and some journalists whom have also raised concerns regarding possible privacy issues).

I thought this was pertinent information regarding some of the likely features of the next Xbox and wanted to share with the community here.

JasonWilliams, maybe one thing we can for sure agree on is the importance of the next generation to make sure they don't forget about what should be central to it all, and that is the games. It seems with all the peripherals, sometimes the focus pulls away from gaming.

Sorry if I got off topic there.

Early reports state a blu-ray drive.

Curious if anyone has heard anything about movie playback.

Yeah, but why would the assumption be that there is no movie playback? This is a complete platform that is particularly proud of it's media capabilities. Windows 8 doesn't have it because of licensing and the additional cost that all users would have to pay when only a small percentage of users will need it.

That was literally the one thing that I thought may affect MS's current plan in any fashion.

Who knows though, they may have already had a plan in place for that. Would be something if both systems rumors were wrong in that area.
