Its all the stuff they didnt mention at the presentation that is getting them **** right now, kinect mandate, the online checks, the revolutionizing of software policies. They knew gamers would not be jumping for joy about them; thus leaking that information out only after being asked point blank by the journalists. They are playing dumb on that front.

"We are shocked that gamers dont want 24 hour checks on their boxes." Yeah right.

The arrogance they have exhibited reminds me of Sony when the ps3 was announced. I guess they take gamers for fools.

My son has his own profile. Given we would have only one console then there wouldn't really be an issue I don't think. If we had a 2nd xbone I think there would be problems though due to these 'regulations'.

You may be right that it is all intentional, that's a legitimate interpretation of their contradictory answers to questions relating to the used game policy. I don't give them that much credit though. I think they were just unprepared. For them not to have at least one consistent BS canned policy answer to that question is amazing to me.

Supposedly very smart and very rich people were completely out to lunch on quite a few fronts.

Their ace in the hole is they have 6 months to right the ship.

It all depends on how big the disconnect truly is from the consumer.

Yeah but ace high probably isn't going to take the pot.

It's the take it or leave it approach. They won't comment because they think they don't have to.

Pretending they thought gamers would not get pissed about the always connected and used game lock outs is purely BS. They are hoping we are conditioned enough (fanatical) to "accept it".

Not because they don't think they have to, because they don't have to. Even the rumors says its not always online, it requires a check in. An article I saw yesterday said they're going to let people in designated no Internet zones (so basically troops) play without Internet. They've labeled those without Internet as unimportant, whether that's right or not is a matter of opinion. Everything is moving towards online, and Xbox Live is the best exclusive they have so I understand it. I'm willing to bet they haven't commented fully on the used games thing because Sony is going to be doing the exact same thing.

They may have poorly handled being prepared to answer questions @ the Reveal, but now people should get the answers they're looking for @ E3.

I seriously doubt MS purposely wanted to pass off gamers, as many feel.

What we know right now for sure...

There is some kind of deal in place for used games with gamestop. (Will be announced @E3)

The Kinect doesn't have to be on. Only connected to the system for the system to function. (Confirmed by MS Rep in CNET interview) posted a couple of pages back

X1 does need an Internet connection(still need more clarification)

to me this wasn't a confirmation ... it will be on always, he said look at the info already in the privacy statement, well that is for the 360, says nothing about the XBone ... if it is a requirement to be attached, then why would they allow it to be turned off?

You can't call it the X1, Comcast already has that name on their box/software.

The Rep said the Kinect 2.0 will have modes the User can use to put the camera in an Off state without unplugging it from the system

He also said the Privacy structure Kinect 1.0 has now will more than likely carry over. I'm sure MS isn't dumb enough to force the Kinect to always be on knowing that's a lawsuit waiting to happen

if they want to ship Kinects with the X1 then sure by all means go ahead, but I can't play unless it's connected to the system thats what bothers me
