That price is exactly what I said it would be 499. Not surprised and is what I anticipated. I'm in. Gonna see what the PS4 will be. I actually had them coming in at about 50 higher but they could be 50 cheaper or match X1. Not planning on getting both but might.

Anyway interested in what I've seen. Really excited to have KI back.

Froza 5 and Ryse looked very good. If GT6 and its predecessors moving forward do not up their career mode to match Forza's, I am done with that franchise. In just a short amount of time Forza has innovated quite a bit in the racing car genre.

I was surprised by Ryse, and if it stays exclusive, MSFT finally has their God of War. If the story is there, Ryse could turn into a huge franchise for them.

I am glad RARE is working on something else besides Kinect Sports and it is Killer Instinct. I'm not big into fighting games like I used to be, but I'm glad this franchise is back. Now if they would of devoted more time to this is the big fail for me.

Dead Rising 3 finally looks like it eats up all the rest of the DR games and puts them to shame.

Quantum Break will be an experience for sure.

The Halo trailer at the end was very well done too.

Now with MSFT not discussing their plans for used games and the always online is not good. I think they should of either squashed any rumors or just confirmed it and moved on. I don't care about the always online stuff, my PC is always online and so is Steam. But I hate that you have to check in every 24 hrs. That is just not needed.

The $499 price point seems a little too high. I made that mistake with the PS4 around launch costing me about almost $750 to get the system and 2 games. If Sony comes in at $399-$449, that could be a game changer imo.

I want to but I got work tonight so I guess ill miss out because I know they will go quick

Edit: Oh and anybody know the cost of pre order? In case I can make it and they still have some available

I don't see why everyone thinks $500 is high. The Kinect is supposed to be included, and I'm sure that added $100-$150 right there. Take that away and the console itself would be $350-400.

Take kinect away and your system does not work, so no, the system would not be $350-400

Plenty of people bought the 360 for $400 on release. So basically you are paying $100 more than that and it includes the Kinect and the updated technology. Like I mentioned before in this thread, Microsoft doesn't make hardly any money on these consoles, so you can bet they didn't make the price $500 just to make money. It's probably close to what it costs to make it.

We'll see how the complaining changes if the PS4 is the same or higher.
