The way they worded the one time thing as "giving" to me implies that's transfer of ownership, I don't think that is intended as letting somebody borrow the game to give it back.

My guess for the family member sharing thing is that if somebody on your family list is playing one of your games, nobody else, including you, can be playing that game from your library. If true, that is really how lending games is now, just without giving your friend the disc.

Makes you wonder if you can still play the same game because you have the Physical Disk & your family member is actually paying from the cloud server

according to the MS site, you will always be able to play your game, whether or not someone is playing it from your shared games. but, even their "details" are a bit vague.

This is how I would interpret it. It would be a massive financial loss for MS if they were to allow people to share games and play them at the same time. I mean you're almost cutting sales 60% by doing that. Not to mention, I really doubt that publishers would be okay with that type of cloud/sharing system as it would come to marketable financial loss for them as well. Microsoft needs to come out and explain this in depth. Because right now it's entirely too vague.

It's not, really. The major difference is that you don't have to physically get up and take him the disc. I swear both of the new consoles are making some of us lazy gamers even lazier.

Proud owner of our Best Buy's 1st Pre-order for day 1 edition.

At least I have one at the ready and can take the next few months to decide for sure.

As every other detail of the console, there is a misleading interpretation that the Day One Edition will include a year of Xbox Live.

I'm still mentally debating. I don't think I'll pick one for months either. I'll figure it out this fall and maybe have to wait a week at launch if the one I want sells out.

Microsoft doesn't make their money on game sales, unless it's one that they made themselves.

I thought they did? I thought they got something like $10 on every game sold.
It was the hardware they lost money on. Or at least that's what I had read before?

It's not any different, other than if your brother is across the country, you can still let him play your game without mailing him the disc.

Just watched a youtube video saying that the one will have a 1.5mb download speed requirement. Not sure if this is true or not just putting it out there.
