    Re: Xbox One

Just so everyone knows. The Xbox One day one edition is back up on Amazon for preorder, while PS4 is still sold out of launch editions.

But they would have to make your family list changeable after a certain time period (maybe 6-12 months after adding).

But that has to cut sales bigtime. Kudos to them if that is true. But they really should have stressed this at their conference if that is the case.
Exactly. No clue why they didn't, or haven't. They need good news, and if this is how we are saying it is, it's a pretty damn big deal.

I preordered. Most likely won't go through with it, but if MS decides to backtrack on the Kinect connectivity before November, I'll be prepared. My wife only approved the PS4, but if MS makes that change, I may have to make an "Executive Decision." LOL.

The trolling going on here is totally unacceptable and downright childish. Go to IGN if you want to troll

I am going PS4 at launch, it's mainly concerns about the X1(hardware issues, drm, used games) but once the first price drop happens, I will be all over it. It's crazy how much this cycle of consoles is repeating the last cycle, roles reversed. I am really interested in the X1's multimedia capabilities.

My prediction, the PS4 takes the lead at launch and holds it for a few years. The X1 will have to play catch up but eventually will like the PS3

lmao well lucky enough for me I can afford to preorder both of them right now. Who knows depending on how much they sell for I would consider selling one of them and waiting haha. Plus I'll of course have one to hold me over while I wait.

I see GS has a "EA Bundle" for the XB1...are FIFA and Madden launch titles? I didn't think they were dropping on next gen until next year?

I just thought of this and don't know if it's been answer, BUT if you buy a game digitally on the Xbox One why would you need internet access to authenticate that (24 hour check in)? I mean you obviously can't sell it.

Yeah they had one for the PS4 as well. I think it includes FIFA 14, NBA Live 14 and Madden 25.

Not really much of a bundle, its the exact same price you would pay if you got the system and the games separately

True but with that they make it seem like those will be available at launch...didn't think they would be...

Going off their progression, it's reasonable to believe that on the next-gen unit MS puts out, you won't be able to play offline at all.
I agree, that for the Xbox One, MS's approach with "always on" is a negative to the gamers that want to be disconnected and still be able to play. What I think MS is doing though is taking a gamble in that they believe that a broadband internet connection will be a given to 99.9 percent of people that purchase their console. That is why I referenced BigJoe's quote about the initial Xbox having just the ethernet connection. This is something they have always believed. And they are right (for the most part). Broadband technology has grown in a big way in just 8 years. It is not going to stop.

But that is not to say MS wins over Sony or vice versa. When all the speculation was flying around, and MS was really putting out some odd representation of their next system, I began to look into the obvious alternative in Sony. But I'm a big Xbox Live fan. I like what they have done with it from an entertainment perspective and also how it has enhanced gaming. My thinking is that Xbox Live has grown in a positive way for gaming and I see it continuing to do so.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.
