    Re: Xbox One

I'm sorry i read this stuff and i just don't understand why any of it matters....lol...if i buy a game it's because i want to play it. Whether family members or friends can play it what does it even matter? As long as i'm logged in under my profile anybody can play the game with me on my console just like it's always been.

I can go to my friends house and log in on my profile and play that game without the disc. I don't know anyone that buys Halo only to then lend it out to friends? Their friends would also buy Halo. If that friend came over to my house, they can play that same Halo game with me on my console under their profile.

What is the problem? Or let me rephrase, what is the problem that is causing the internet to explode with hate over this non-issue? lol
I think it's just because it's different and people can't handle change at first.

For me, being able to play any purchased game anywhere under my profile without the need of a retail disc is well worth the trade off. The idea of sitting on my couch and telling my xbox to start a certain game while i'm watching a movie is too cool for school.

well for the family setting/shared games, in theory, I can buy a game and activate/install it to my console/account, then my brother will also have access to that game via shared game(he lives ~40 miles from me) and we would be able to play that game together through a single game license.

Lets do this one more time:

The internet is "exploding" over 3 things:

            - Always on Internet: If the internet goes out for more than 24 hrs or you cant connect to their servers for 24 hrs....you cant play games on XB1

            - You cant rent or lend games. Many people use Gamefly to try out games. You cant do that on the XB1. You can only lend/share games with people who are listed as your family.

            - Potential trade in restrictions on 3rd pty games.

All 3 of these issues arent issues on the other console and the other console is also 100 bucks cheaper. Thats why people are ****ting on the Xb1

WOW! It gets even better. That is awesome. So i can assign up to 10 of my "family" members access to my library of games and they can play those games on on their console?? Why isn't Microsoft making this more known? That is pretty awesome.

Your statement isnt completely true. The article says clearly: You'll be able to link other Xbox Live accounts as having shared access to your library when you first set up a system and will also be able to add them later on (though specific details of how you manage these relationships is still not being discussed).

Those specific details about who you can add is a big part of the system. Cant say there are no restrictions until we get more details.

But not at the same time (which is understandable). Your brother wont be able to play Madden while you are.

according to MS, you + 1 family member can play the same game at the same time.

Choose your words carefully. There are a lot of times I have gotten stuck at hotels for weeks at a time. The troops I'm sure are always connected too. But when they aren't they always have the 360 right?...

Two times last year. One time it was out a whole week because of a hurricane. I live just outside of DC so its not like I live in an area that gets consistent bad weather. I feel for those that do and have an XB1. Thats not even taking in consideration if Xb has an issue with its server and I'm unable to connect

Point two is comparing two things that have nothing to do with each other. I like control. I like to be able to try a game through rental for as long as I want. I like to be able to trade in games without restrictions. I dont want to have to rely on a friend to have a game, him add me as a family member just so I can play the game when ever he isnt playing it.

Also there are plenty of games (Nascar, Dishonored as examples) that I wanted to try out and none of my friends owned it. So my choice would be to buy the game or just never play it.

What about troops who would like to play video games overseas? They don't have constant internet access. What about those who travel for work and won't always have internet connection? What about those in rural areas who can't get internet access or are severely limited to what they can do with their internet access? People on this website don't represent the majority of gamers.

Point two i just learned a few minutes ago that you have full access to anyone that assigns you as a family member to their entire gaming library for FREE. I don't know about you but that sounds better to me than even renting a game.
All the details on that have not been provided. And I assure you when it is revealed, it won't seem AS great.

Because we know that we don't represent the entire clientele.

Why? Why would I not want to play video games simply because my internet is down for more than 24 hours? No internet would stop me from wanting to play a single player RPG?
