Re: Xbox One
Once the console actually come out is going to be huge for both. Once the consumers get thier hands on these things and truly see how everything works will be the true deciding factor. PS4 is trending upwards now, that can easily change in the next 18-24 months after the cosoles releaseAm I trolling? Am I serious? Did Dennis Green and the Cardinals really "let them off the hook"? What about the children? Find out next weekComment

That isnt going to drive a parent to pay $100 more for a console though.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I will say that the good part about buying Xbox One games digitally is you don't have to worry about the disc breaking. I know the Xbox 360 had a big problem with games getting the "Death circle". Personally I take great care of my games, but accidents can happen. Now with this new buy the disc and that is it concept you don't have to worry about things such as this.
I think if you buy a game disc based obviously you would have to check in which I am totally against. But if you buy it straight from the market I don't think the 24 hour check in should apply since I don't believe you are able to sell the game digitally that I know of.
Now let's say I buy Madden 25 and my brother doesn't. IF the Xbox One family circle works like we hope it will work that would mean we could possibly do our online connected franchise together without having to buy the same game for the same system. Now obviously I don't mean play it against each other because we don't know about the multiplayer right now. If it does work like I just said then that would definitely save another 60 dollars from spent and no worrying about giving each other the disc.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Wasn't PS3 up to $200 more? Plus in this case you get Kinect, so the person needs to decide if it's worth it.
I think the situation is a little different vs. the PS3 one back in the day.
I'm not saying it's worth it for Xbox One or not, just saying that for a purchase that lasts years I think a lot of people who can afford consoles won't let pure cost make that decision. Otherwise people would just buy cheap cars, tv's, etc.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

The other thing I think will keep MS in the game is the addition of a BR Drive.
This is an advantage Sony no longer has. People don't only buy physical games. They also buy Movies. For me my 360 & Panny BR Player are the center of my Home Theater.
With the XB-1 I now 1 device to do it all. (Watch BR/Stream Movies & Game)

Re: Xbox One
True. I will say that a discerning parent spending money on a console that will last 8 years probably won't let $100 come between them buying the console they really want (or think is better).

Re: Xbox One
I wouldn't put them together. but if price was that big a factor, parents would go for the cheaper solution and I guess the age of the kids. This really doesn't apply to the "in the know" parent gamer, as they would know the difference.Comment
