Take away DRM, check in's and forced Kinect and I am not complaining at all. I would happily live in Xbox One and PS4 land.

I don't see the Kinect stuff going away, but hoping they can have the disc substitute for license synchronization (for that title).

Also, they haven't "removed used games"

That's awesome, if this is some of the things to come with the Kinect integration than this is going to be an epic gaming experience.

They could do the bolded, and still probably bring back a substantial number of people

            Unfortunately, they wont

I'm getting both, but it would make me feel a whole lot better if they changed at least the bold parts. I can live with the Kinect because it does have cool features. The other stuff is just hard to accept.

This. The Kinect always needing to be plugged in, is still fishy no matter what they are people spin it as.

But if they take those away, they can't do playing a game with no disc, playing your games on any console, and disc free sharing.

I have never used kinect, but I think we might get a chance to see some really cool implementations of it this generation.

QB Mode in Madden? A boxing game? golf?

I dunno Im gonna hold off judgment till I see some games for it.

It would be interesting if they could do that though.

Basically have the console run in 2 distinct modes, and you have to choose which to run it in and have the capability to move between them where it makes sense, though you'd have to go through some hoops to authorize their games and stuff. The local mode would forgoe all online benefits and have limited access to cloud functionality (sharing, etc).

I'm interested in what they figure out for rentals, since they'll almost surely be coming to the system at one point. Something along the lines of flagging a block of licenses for each rental company. Then take it to the next level and optionally cut out the disc, Gamefly (or the highest bidder) as an app or the branded rental store within the console. Though with full game trails perhaps Sony and MS will just cut out the middle man.

Anyways, first step: somehow make it work with game in the drive. If they can't do that then workarounds and alternatives get much more difficult IMO.

This is what interests me...if we could somehow get digital sales/rentals at reasonable prices (steam-esque sales would rock) I'd be on board 100%...

Just not sure it's possible on consoles anytime soon.

If Kinect could have me phyiscally having to perform moves in a fighting game like jet li or something that would be awesome.
