Can anyone comment on how Skype will work with the snap feature and how bandwidth will matter? It seems to me that this will tax or internet connections to where there are lag issues. Is this where the 300,000 servers come in?

The lag on Skype via calls will be due to Internet Connection. The snapping of Apps shouldn't lag due to Internet Connection. The Apps being used by Snapping are handled by a dedicated OS.

I think bigfnjoe's right. They have the dedicated OS memory separate from game memory, so it won't lag games like that.

I doubt being logged in will cause internet lag (I'll be logged in on chat programs while online in games, or I've used teamspeak on PC before), so I doubt it'd cause any lag.

Right, I understand they have separate processing but when you have 2 using your connection at once like Skype and a multiplayer game, how will that pan out.

I think it depends on your internet connection. I use to game on my original Xbox back when I had DSL and a 1.5mbps. Now my connections up to 30mbps so personally I'm not worried about it at all.

A heads up to those that have pre-ordered their console through Amazon and have a Meijer store around them; they have a coupon right now good for today and tomorrow where you get $10 off a single item purchase of $50 or $20 off an item of $100. This coupon works on Kindle cards, which can be applied to your pre-order, and can be used multiple times, it just has to be in separate transactions. I got $350 in cards to pay off my order, but only paid $280. If you haven't paid anything on your order yet, you can get the One for $400.

So the NFL deal won`t cost extra? I know you have to have a gold sub but, if I wanted to watch my Chargers every sunday which aren't in my area could I? Also since it has a built in DVR I should be able to record it live or is it limited to just games?

I haven't seen any suggestion that they will be broadcasting games. The nfl integration appears to be an app with real-time-ish updates for both scores and fantasy football. A lot of that deal is cross-promotion of nfl/ms products.

I do but it wont come out til next year and I can always get a PS4 during tax time. I actually like the Xbox Ones features better it was just the $100 price difference. However if the PS4 comes out late October like some rumors suggest and the Xbox One is mid to late November it would be tough to wait it out for the Xbox One.

New rumors from NeoGAF insider, cboat:
                                • No Live Stream at Gamescom for "real reasons." Xbox 1 architecture not fully complete. Latest version of SDK from a couple of weeks ago dropped performance by 15-20% across the board. He says this thing happens all the time as a part of console develoment, and will eventually get fixed. But there is NO chance of early October release...
                                • Certainly not for 21 countries. As we know they already dropped down to 13 countries. The "localization" excuse is bull****. Period. "TRUTHFACT." It's an excuse nobody with common sense would consider. If you cross reference against the languages spoken, and official and other languages is said country. He said yield issues 2 months ago and the "chicks have come home to roost." I'm not sure what the next part says... "Knock ons for launch title" 1 smart glass etc. Instead of 180's coherent vision? They are paying the price now?
                                • Late October Launch is set for PS4. Sony's SDK is fully ready, and you can basically "master2 final right now. Today." Not sure what that means, but sounds like the console is basically ready.
                                • FYI, though people were mad about Bayonetta going exclusive to Wii U, you'll be somewhat unhappy about what MS is moneyhatting with Platinum. Other Japanese devs are "in play" too, but Kamiya is the only 1 he's 100% sure about. The game is not for North America or Europe, which doesn't make sense.
                                • Big Park cancelled a game. It was a MOBA. 100% Dead. The whole studio is now focusing on TV services. All the best talent went to Big Tusk or left MS entirely. Rare is still Kinect focused, regardless of what you guys may have heard.
                                • New Indie publishing policy is not yet set. It will be post launch.
                                • Early September surprise.
Apologize in advanced. Everything I saw over the last 24 months was no chance of Kinectless SKU. It was solid and concrete info.

                                  Well, about that...
Whispers of optional Kinect (not in Box, SKU happening early next year).
Enough smoke now to point out the fire before the announcement in September.

So apparently there's still hope for a Kinectless Xbox One, just not within the first 6 months of launch!
