My Logitech Revue worked through a shelf without actual line of sight, I have no idea how. I had included IR blasters hooked up for a while because I thought I needed them. Kinect 2 has an IR blaster on it.

That's cool...If it can do that somehow with just Kinect that's great....

Just want details on all this. I want to know exactly what's included with all this entertainment stuff and see if I'll be able to use it.

I think he's misconstruing Trapper's post on "No Live Stream at Gamescom."

It's just another example how so many have taken false information and ran with it all over the internet.

Edit: And I'm not necessarily saying this is a bad thing for us as fans. I wish more publishers focused on showing off gameplay and letting the developers talk about their game. Though, like I said, it isn't exactly a vote of confidence.

I'm sure this has been answered but I am not as in touch with these conferences as others. Why would MS not want to do a live stream? It seems like a no-brainer nowadays.

They mentioned that theirs is set up differently than a normal conference. It's not going to be all that feasible to do a generalized setup if they're giving the media a lot of hands on time with each dev. The talking portion is just a quick media briefing and not a huge thing.

I think both companies having a bunch of playable consoles is enough of a vote of confidence personally. I'm not sure that we need that much more talk besides release date reveals from both of them honestly.

Whether or not a press conference is going on or not doesn't bother me. Especially with how they have been lately. They are so plastic with them acting like they are introducing these grand features and people give a golf clap in return.

I'd much rather come away with the thing in action.

Absolutely. I think, ultimately, this is a good thing for fans. I'll take a few hours of gameplay over a few hours of drawing out a couple of meaningless announcements any day.

Only if there's an incentive, or should I say no dis-incentive to do it, like the Vita and it's memory cards. Games that I'm comfortable paying full price for I have no problems buying digitally, especially if that opens up the remote library accessibility stuff when I'm at a friend's house.

I would, if it meant sales like Steam...I'd be happy getting games on sale later on and going digital

Otherwise if I buy new I can sell the disc to get money towards new games. Digital doesn't allow this. I was personally a fan of MS allowing you to sell digital games, but sadly the outcry killed that.

IMO digital is only really worth it if we see Steam-esque sales. Otherwise we're just giving up the ability to buy/sell used games (unless the industry adopts what MS suggested, but it probably won't).

Well.......the plan is to go all digital and buy games after they have been out for a while. Especially with Sports games. I don't need them at release.

My goal is to have a smaller library and thoroughly play through a game before moving on. I'm doing it right now with the 360 and having fun. Currently playing LA Noire that I got for 14.99.

Well.......the plan is to go all digital and buy games after they have been out for a while. Especially with Sports games. I don't need them at release.

My goal is to have a smaller library and thoroughly play through a game before moving on. I'm doing it right now with the 360 and having fun. Currently playing LA Noire that I got for 14.99.

This strategy is what I'm doing on PC. I get great deals and I make sure I beat the game I play. I want to continue this on a new console.

Stops me from wasting 60 bucks on a game I never end up playing much.

I've been doing this for a little while now. I think its brought me back into gaming moreso than before. It allows me to take chances on lesser known titles and get the "AAA" titles for a 1/3 or less, but more importantly gives me time to enjoy them and flesh out my gameplay and experience.

I would go digital if there was a reason for me to. Right now there is nothing that makes me want to go all digital.

A few things that would make me consider going all digital -
*Cheaper games - $10-$15 enough to off balance what I would get for trade in.
*Figure out a trade in system? Not sure how it would work or if even possible.
*Being able to download and pre-load on the system, so the night of release I can just download a small file and go. One of the major drawbacks for digital only is having to download at midnight and wait the amount of time it takes to download the game.
*Releasing the game a few days earlier to those who buy digitally. Doing that would maybe make me switch without doing any of the other things I listed above.
