Not sure if that was the last update or if it was this one. Still hoping to someday run my 360 through my One. Wasn't sure if the improved passthrough was going to fix or lessen the delay.
The thing is - it's not really a "passthrough" - passthrough implies direct (or extremely close to direct) feed from input to output. A more accurate term is probably "importer & decoder" both which add a layer of latency thus while you'll probably always have the delay.

I spent so many hours playing Rainbow Six 3 on the original Xbox back in college, all nighters and such. Never have spent as much time on a game as that (at least as far as online shooters.)

Vegas 1 and 2 - Terrorist hunt is probably one of my favorite modes ever in any game.

Anyone else on beta, xbox one, should team up when it comes out. R6 definitely about strategy.

I think you would be better off with a splitter or something. I had a buddy that ran his 360 through his. Didn't seem like there were any advantages.

I do have a splitter, 3 way hdmi for my 360, cable and pc. Not a big deal just think it would be cool to have them snapped at any given time and run everything through the One. Not biggie. Saw on the intro video, improved HDMI passthrough. But coudn't find any info on it.

Can you share the link to that? I don't work directly on HDMI-in, but I am on the team. I can see what they are referring to.

Correct, but passthrough is a lot easier to explain to customers.

Obviously biased, but here's the things I would pitch for advantages:
              1) No need to switch input to play games or watch TV
              2) Can have TV snapped while playing a game
              3) (if IR blasting is enabled) Limits the number of remotes/controllers you need as you can change channel and turn on from the Xbox
              4) (if you have Kinect) saying "Xbox Watch ESPN" is awesome, and I find it frustrating when I can't change channel this way now
              5) Trending and favorites are 2 things in the OneGuide that are sneaky useful when it comes to watching live TV that many other providers haven't replicated.
              6) Reading tweets from the MiniGuide during a live TV show can be entertaining. I think Dr. Phil may have the best tweets

Anyway, do what's best for you, just wanted to explain some benefits.

Definitely advantages to having the cable box through pass through. I love it. Thought he was saying he was going to run his 360 through it.

I can't get the link. It's on the intro video if you're in the Preview Program when they explain the Whats New section. Says, Improved HDMI Passthrough. I'll try to take a screen shot of it and post it.

I have ir blasting enabled. Love it. I'd love to have my pc snapped or open up 360 as an app on the One. I use my One Guide exclusively now. Can't tell you the last time I used my Xfinity Guide. Love it.

360, pc, cable all into hdmi switcher and to the input of Xbox One. That would be sleek

Both my day one controllers have issues now. Not complaining they have got a ton of use. Just sucks because now seems like the worst time to pick up a new controller.

I have found the XB1 controller to hold up better than the PS4's. Took no time for both PS4 controllers purchased at launch to become junk even with rotating between the two.

Ok, found it. I didn't take a pic but it is in the first 30 seconds of the Whats New video on the preview program.

Says at the top: (not sure if this was the last update or this current preview)
                          Welcome to the 1407 Beta

                          Improvements to HDMI-in:

We've made updates to the HDMI-in driver to help improve quality and performance for HDMI pass through.

nope...unless you want volume and chat to be controlled on the fly then yes you would need to...If you dont mind changing it in the settings menu then stick to just using the 3.5 mm jack on the new controllers

There is no comparison as the xbox one has a superior controller.

Much hype is made for the dual shock 4 because it is a million times better then the garbage ds3 but people see that huge improvement and think is better then the xbox one which is not...Not even close

The xbox one controller offers better range of motion with the sticks and the off set sticks feels more natural not to mention the triggers make zero noise and are super accurate.

The rumbles as well make games like sports where contact is made a must as it feels like players have weight to them

The light bar and mic are just gimmicks on the ds4...And battery life is pathetic
