I'm thinking about picking up a slim xbox s, but I don't like white electronics since it doesn't match with the rest of my electronics. I hope they release it in black too.

Re: Xbox One
To each his own, I just don't see how having to replace batteries is a good thing? Not only is it a pain, it's costly. I see no reason why they wouldn't put a permenant battery (a la, Sony...) or just include a rechargeable pack in every $60 controller.
Its nothing new, Microsoft has and will always figure ways to be able to charge for as many things as possible, see the chat adapter. And believe me, I'm not trying to start an argument.
IMO controllers aren't all that cheap and need to be replaced from time to time. Who am I to say how someone should run their business, I just find it to be a BS way to get more money from our pockets into theirs.

I don't have a xbox so I don't know how long the battery's last on a xboxone but the fact that Sony from ps3 on you don't have to buy battery's is great and something that Microsoft is really lacking at right now. That was something I really didn't like about the wii as well the having to replace battery's thing it really added up. Wii I notices really eats battery's fast. I don't even play the wii that much mostly got it for Zelda back when the last one came out and yet I have had to replace the battery's a lot. So yeah I don't see how people can deal with it. Its just another reason I would never buy a xbox system over a sony one. Xbox no games, systems that break and still have to replace battery's.Comment

Guys...I was never saying there was anything wrong with people who use AA batteries over the kit.
I was merely stating that, IN MY OPINION, for the price of the controller, I've always felt that Microsoft should have included a battery pack. That is all.

You actually don't have to replace batteries at all. This post just sounds uneducated.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I have both systems and i actually prefer being able to use batteries over having to recharge. I hate it when im on PS4 and my controller runs out of power in the middle of a game and i have to connect it to a wire that isn't long enough to reach my chair. I prefer being able to pop in a couple of batteries with the xbox and im good to go.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Not going to lie...hate the batteries in the Xbox One controller. Definitely prefer it to be internal but at the same time, it's a minor pet peeve and doesn't prevent me from playing games on Xbox One. The one major difference is that the Xbox One controller is heavier due to the batteries. With Xbox 360, I always used wired controllers (and still do) so I never had a problem.
A biggie issue is gamers having problems with either console's controller. Outside of Nintendo Gamecube crappy controller and the original Xbox controller, I have never ever had a problem with any of them. Those two were just designed horribly and too damn big respectively.
Oh well. The current controllers are both excellent and I don't see how anyone can have a problem with either one.Comment
