Re: Xbox One
Yea sports games have same resolution but the xb1 comes with compromises that are not on ps4.
Madden 16 has both with 1080p but the AA is smoother and of better quality on PS4 as evidence by the slight jaggies on the xb1 version not shown on ps4
NBA 2K16 has both at 1080p but once again the PS4 version has better color palette and there are a bit of rough edges AA in some instances. Not like Madden but you can still see it slightly.
Fifa 16 is the only game where I saw zero difference
Now I prefer to play them on XB1 because I just feel the controller is best suited for sports and shooters.Comment

Re: Xbox One
This is all facts right here folks...Yeah, people are going to learn a lot about this shortly i think.
Dolby Vision is like Nvidia G-Sync, it requires dedicated hardware, so additional cost to the manufacturer of both the players and TVs.
Vizio is the only company I'm aware of that is going to release a firmware update of some kind that will let their P-series TVs support both formats (out of the box they support the Dolby standard)
But be mindful that the xb1 s will support HDR 10 that is not the Dolby Vision one.
My Samsung has HDR10 which is what xb1 will use. It does not have Dolby unfortunately as that is hardware related and is on the higher end models of 2016 Samsungs
My Samsung is 2015Comment

Re: Xbox One
Sad part is that no matter how good the deal is, they still don't sell nearly as good as you would expect them to sell. That current deal is better than the deal I got last year. Of course, it's one of those deal of the day deals and majority won't even notice it until it's too late.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Alright, maybe tonight is when I finally pull the trigger on Xbone. I was thinking about just getting the new Xbone that comes out in a few days, but this is that much cheaper. I don't really care about the included games, but they don't hurt, either.Daily deal at Best Buy

Re: Xbox One
It is a great deal. With the slim, unless you have a 4k tv / monitor to game on, I do not think it will be worth getting as it probably won't look much different on a 1080p screen from what Im hearing and the performance is of the slim is (according to speculation) on par with what the original xb1 offers.
As much as im tempted to get the xb1 slim for myself as im a sucker for new tech, im forgoing it in lieu of getting the NEO and Scorpio when they come out.PSN: ckarlic

Re: Xbox One
I actually do have a 4k TV, though, which gives me some pause. The size isn't a big deal to me, and I'm not sure I'm too concerned with the HDR at this point given I'm more of a sports gamer.Comment

Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on a 70" 4k tv. Gonna dump my 70" Sharp Aquos I guess.

Re: Xbox One
LOL! I'm here headed to best buy myself. Undecided between the new 65 Inch Vizio P series and the 65 inch Samsung ks8000 series. Both priced at $2,000. The vizio supports doulby vision HDR and the update for HDR10 just went out. The samsung only does HDR10, but that seems to be the industry standard so that's ok with me too. They're both good on input lag for gaming. I'm on a Panasonic plasma which has great picture quality, but it's time for an upgrade. Might just end up buying both and staying with the one I like the most lol. Got the 4k upgrade itch and these consoles ain't helping
NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment
