Because of this, all this other crap is coming out too and granted, it could all be bullcrap but still, it looks bad and puts a negative vibe on Microsoft especially if you're a second/third party developer/publisher who may want to work with them.

Current rumor by Shinobi is that Crackdown 3 is also said to be in development trouble but nowhere near as bad as Scalebound is. The studios behind Crackdown 3 are NOT owned by Microsoft. Anyone else besides me seeing a pattern here?

This other little tidbit is also very sad. Bungie who were once owned by Microsoft didn't want to develop Halo anymore after their last release. Microsoft wanted them to do nothing but Halo. Bungie literally paid millions to get out of being owned by Microsoft. Microsoft then formed 343 Industries to continue the Halo franchise.

Here's the problem - during this time, Bungie was creating a little game called Destiny. Instead of Microsoft backing up Bungie and having Destiny as a full Xbox One exclusive while also still having Halo which could have just gone over to 343 Industries (which happened anyway), Microsoft decided to let Bungie buy themselves out so they could go work for Activision.

Sony gets the Activision marketing deal which includes Destiny, COD and the upcoming Destiny 2.

I personally don't give two craps about Destiny but seriously, WTF is wrong with the people at Microsoft? I just don't get it. Microsoft is multi-player online focused the majority of the time, if not all the time and here they are, passing on with what turned out to be a huge MMORPG for Activision.

Sony does a lot of stupid crap too but Microsoft just seems to take the cake sometimes. I just don't get it. SMH.

Gears of War comes to mind, Halo as well, both are multiplayer games with a single player tacked on

Pretty sure halos campaigns were satisfying early on too.

It honestly sounds like people are penalizing good single player experiences in here because the games also excel in multiplayer.

My beef with XB1 exclusives is the lack of different titles. Currently playing The Last Guardian on PS4. You will never see a Microsoft studio take a chance by releasing something like that for XB1.

Listen, I love Gears of War 4 (my 2016 GOTY) and Forza Horizon, but I would like to see Microsoft take some chances on something different than the norm.

Sure it was. I liked Sunset Overdrive. All I'm say is I feel Microsoft could benefit from taking more chances with their exclusive titles.

You know maybe you are right, maybe it's just perception. I don't know if it is how MS markets Gears or what but I've just always played it as a mostly multiplayer game and viewed it as such.

It honestly sounds like you will just defend Microsoft no matter what. I'm a huge fan and I think I'm very vocal about how much I support them, however I can admit that some things seem a bit concerning for the future in regards to their games.

The sky isn't falling per se but as others have pointed out, I'd like to see some more investment in new studios and/or in developing new games. It also wouldn't hurt them to have some more single player focused games.

I'm not saying that at all, Gears of War 4 was great. I believe the story was really solid and not a tack on at all. I think Halo 5's campaign was terrible and definitely nowhere near the others. The campaign seemed rushed and the story was extremely bland, I think a lot of fans feel this way.

My point was more about the overarching tone in here that Microsoft has some things they need to improve and yesterday's Scalebound announcement was a remind of that. I think some of the points made in here are very valid but you seem to have a rebuttal for every single one of them.

I don't want to get into a whole thing here as I don't think it's the place, I respect your opinion and didn't mean to make it seem like I didn't.
