Daniel. My man. Seriously don't need 35 paragraphs to repeat and summarize your previous posts. I don't think anyone is bashing in here. It's been a very civil conversation that for some reason you seem to want people to fight over Nintendo or Sony exclusive games. That's not what this thread is for at all.

I just got a PS4 a month ago and I think it too struggles with organizing things, but not as much. The problem these systems will always face is resisting the temptation to capitalize.

Xbox is still stubborn. They like to claim they are all about the gaming, but the dash is so saturated. Every update is an admission, "yes, we flubbed it with this go around, but we're going to keep trying to figure out the best way to cram all this stuff in your face." That's the first thing I noticed about the PS4. It's quiet.

The Xbox 360 had the better GPU and more RAM. The PS4 had the better CPU but was unknown tech at that time. Sony had hoped developers could utilize this CPU power in combination with the GPU to suppress the Xbox performance wise. However, developers chose to develop going the much easier route. Which is why you would see worse resolution and less\no AA on the PS3 sometimes.

This time the hardware is much the same. Even the ESRAM in the Xbox One is being virtualized for the Scorpio instead of being actual hardware.

I think there will be some of that sparse rendering happening in the 4k on this console.

That processor is still the stop gap in the end..... If they indeed need to use interpolation on some games.

I'm not sure bigger games like Red Dead 2 will be 4k 60 either.

All I want is for the criticisms to be fair and even. I'm tired of seeing people on so many forums bash Microsoft for "only" having Halo/Gears/Forza over the last 15 years and but yet no one bashes Nintendo for having Mario and Zelda for the last 30 years. Everyone should know by now what they're getting with Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo and simply leave it at that.

You're forgetting that back in the day Xbox 360 ran EA Sports games much better than the PS3 and the PS3 had much better hardware. It's about how they are programmed for as much as the actual hardware.



Better hardware does not mean it's a sure bet it'll have better made games.

That's completely different. The PS3 was extremely difficult to program for with many developers complaining about it. The PS3 was actually the stronger system but not by much at all and 1st party games looked better but 3rd party games looked better on the 360 because it was easier to develop for and then ported over to the PS3. If you really think game's won't look or run better on the Scorpio you're in for a rude awakening.

Well as you know I'll likely have Scorpio so I'm all for it but I'm skeptical as MS has shown very little in way of superior games on cross platform this generation.

The 360 had the better multi platforms. And, of course this generation the PS4 had the better multiplatform games because it was the stronger system and they made the console easy to develop for unlike the PS3.

Yeah, that's the problem with baseball, The Show doesn't even sell very well relative to other sports titles despite being generally well received by fans and with no competition. Optimistically you're talking about maybe a million units.

The fact that all previous Xbox one 1080p games will run native 4k and MS is trying to get 900p games also to be native 4k on the Scorpio should tell you how powerful this console will be. Digital foundry said they ported forza 6 in 2 days something that's never been done before to the Scorpio and it was running native 4k 60fps with 4k textures and only using 66% of the GPU is insane. I honestly feel MS is swinging for the fences with this one. After reading this there's no way you should be skeptical.
