Is it Netflix in general or just the Xbox Netflix app? I'm gonna do a side by side with the ks8000 app and see if there is a difference.

I was on the phone with Sony the other day because they charged me for a year of PSN because my PS4 was set to do it automatically and I forgot. I called an hour after being charged and the lady gave me a speech telling me "they'll refund me my money only this one time etc" I wanted them to refund me back my money after an hour of being charged and told them I already bought a year subscription from somewhere else for cheaper. Couldn't believe how they made this a big deal and lecturing people about it.

How can you abuse the hell out of it if you can only spend up to 2 hours max with a title?

That's what I hear, but when I use the Netflix App via my Shield TV, I don't get that huge dimming of the picture

I think some will use it as a quick "rental" system. Buy a game, try for under the 2 hour limit, return. Not so much abuse but I could see lot's of returns happening which may be an issue with the system. I don't know really. But I for one love the idea of a return system for digital. It's not often I buy a game that I truly don't want or like but having the option to return is nice.

Here's 4 screens I took. One of each using Xbox Netflix and the other using the Samsung Netflix app. First picture of each is the Xbox app. The Samsung app seems like a slightly better picture color wise but I'm not sure I notice a brightness issue. So weird.

Steam has been dealing with this already, abuse is a lot less likely than many would expect IMO.

Tdawg hit the nail on the head. The idea is great and have to wait and see how it's all executed. A lot of people constantly buy games on Steam, play for about two hours and then get a refund on them.

You probably only get 1 - 3 shots at doing this before your account is flagged I bet.

That's not true at all, but over-exaggerated and pessimistic comments seems to be your shtick.

While Steam may have gotten better in this regard, it wasn't this way two years ago. I may over exaggerate sometimes but what you call pessimistic I call realistic. You have this option and well, it's only natural that a lot of people will use and abuse it as much as they possibly can.

So the 1st 2 shots are with and without HDR enabled via the XB-1S Netflix app?

No. They are all with hdr on. I tried to get the same image using the Xbox and Samsung Netflix apps. I figured the Xbox Netflix shots would be darker. Isn't that the issue?

Top picture is xbox Netflix. Bottom is samsung Netflix app.

Maybe it's my TV, but I doubt it. What's the name of the show in your shots? So I can see how it looks.

EDIT: If it's Tale by light, then it's not HDR. The show must say HDR not 4k Ultra. Try any of the Marvel shows IE: Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones

                                Those will say HDR
