If Microsoft really is smart they will have a fantastic trade up program and thus get a lot more Xbox One X's installed out there while having a large supply of refurbished Xbox One S's they can resell to those looking to game on a budget.

Right now the price of an Xbox One S is going to be $199. What do you guys all think is the absolute best Microsoft will have for a trade in value for an Xbox One S, so long as you are trading it towards an Xbox One X?

$125, $150?

Microsoft doesn't care how many XBox One X's are out there as compared to the One or the One S.

They just need more XBOne/S/X out there in general.

Those people don't matter though. If they don't know the difference this console isn't for them. They are specifically targeting a customer that knows what this console is capable of. Most of the people you are talking about are casual gamers who haven't invested in a 4k/hdr tv yet. If you have invested in a 4k tv you most likely know what the difference is between this and the Original Xbox one. That's the customer they are targeting.

They ain't going large with this effort. They may want to but they won't. It's a specific crowd they're going after.

Yes, but doing a successful trade-in program increases the Xbox Ones overall and thus is sort of my point as to the importance of a really good trade-up program.

More people who trade in their old Xbox One S for an Xbox One X will mean more Xbox One X's which is good because then more developers will be more apt to develop games for the more powerful hardware.

And more refurbished Xbox One S's that there are to sell means more budget conscious gamers can get into the game by buying an Xbox One S at a discounted rate.

I don't get why people are surprised at the price. Xbox one launched at the same price unless I'm mistaken.

I also see it being compared to the pro price a lot but X has a uhd drive and it brings more to the table 4k/power wise. So 100 more isn't surprising.

Price is not a problem. And anyone here knows I've always been an Xbox guy. Price not the problem. I'm sick of this model of relying on 3rd Party playing the best as a selling point. They need to get their 1st Party AAA sh*# together in a hurry. Relying on Halo and Gears is old and just aint gonna get it done. Outside of Ori I was not impressed with anything 1st party. Although the pickings were slim to be impressed by. Yayy backwards compatible original OG Xbox games. Well how about just making a new damn Crimson Skies for crying out loud. Backwards compatibility should be icing on the cake not half of the damn cake. I'm going to get it but this will be the last time under this model.

I was interested in a few exclusives I saw yesterday. It doesn't concern me much though since I own both consoles and probably always will.

Developers don't develop separately for more powerful hardware. That's not how it works, otherwise PC games wouldn't look better.

And there are plenty of refurbed/used XBOne S out there already. You can go to any gamestop and get one right now. They don't have a limited quantity of them. It's also on sale for $199 at some places and got a price drop to $250. If that's not budget enough for people, they really should find a new hobby.

Ready for the One X but I know Microsoft made a point of stating that there would be a trade up program for One S buyers back in October. With these prices the $150 I was hoping for is looking less and less likely which is a shame. Hopefully they take care of early adopters this time.

If ark hits a stable 60fps on the X I'll eat my shoe. I'm sure it can hit 60 in certain areas with limited Dinos and limited buildings around but I don't see it happening consistently. I'll be really impressed if it does. Especially if it does in 4k.

Yes but where are my exclusive games??? They can't find someone to do another Perfect Dark? We can't get another Conker game? Where are all of the games? What's the point of having a Ferrari if you can't drive it that much? What happened to the new IP that was being worked on prior to the Coalition being formed and taking over Gears? No doubt that MS has the tech. To me they are just crapping the damn bed when it comes to games of their own to show off the tech. And I for one and getting damn tired of this train of thought from them.

I just got a xbox one and i remember a cool feature where you could play and watch tv at the same time. Did they take that away cause i don't see a option to do it

Yup. They took it away before a replacement was ready. Can't even find confirmation of a replacement coming now. It sucks and has cut into my gaming time considerably. Snap was a key feature for me during baseball season. Now I just watch a baseball game most of the time instead of snapping the game while playing Xbox.

Here's a a video of the Ark Developer talking about Ark running 4k native at 60fps with high textures and many other effects. He says it's running on epic settings on PC. Also, says this wasn't possible on the pro and when asked how does the pro compare to the Scorpio he says the Scorpio is 50% more powerful. Yea I agree with you that they really need to bring some more exclusives to the console. For me though I play more multiplats than anything else so it doesn't bother me that much. Many people have been vocal about them bringing more exclusives on twitter to MS after yesterday's E3. I've barely been gaming on the Xbox since I bought my pro when it came out. Now with the X coming out I'll get gear of war 4 since it's getting a 4k patch and some of their other games. But yea hopefully they can bring some more AAA exclusives to the console.
