Yeah, that looks familiar. I suck something awful at this game. Still having a good time with it, but I doubt I will ever get "Ace" status.

I would recommend playing War Thunder on PC after trying it on PS4 the past few days. Prior to this latest update, it was a solid 60fps but now it's locked at 30 with occasional dips. You also get much more control over your plane with a kb+mouse than the gamepad. You can use kb+mouse on ps4 version but you are unallowed to change the terrible keybindings and the mouse control is really flaky/jittery.

You also get much more control over your plane with a kb+mouse than the gamepad. If it was a smooth 60 fps why would they change it to 30?

Question about the Turtle Beach PX21 headset. From what I gather, I can just connect the USB cord on the headphones straight to the PS4, and then connect the headphone jack into the controller, basically discarding the red and white AV cables. Correct?

Also, when it's set up this way, will I be able to chat, or will I need the chat cable that is sold on the Turtle Beach website?

They upped the graphics - primarily the textures and FXAA, I believe. Its now on par with the PC on high settings. I would be fine with the 30 fps if it was more stable or if it didnt mess with the mouse.

As far as the audio itself goes, just plugging in the USB cable is all you need. Then, you into Audio Output Settings and set the "Output to Headphones option - if you want the game audio to play through them in addition to voice chat, select "All Audio". Or you can set it to Chat Audio if you want only the voice chat coming through them.

If I'm being completely honest, I haven't yet been able to try the mic in an actual gaming session. Although I did start up a solo Party Chat to see if the mic was responding with just the USB cable, and it does. No need to plug anything into the controller - the other cord is the speaker output and doesn't have to be plugged into anything at all. It was needed with the PS3 to hear game audio (and had to be plugged into the TV you were using), but the PS4 eliminates that. The USB is really all you should need.

Personally, I'd throw out COD and choose between BF and Killzone.

BF - Larger battles, vehicles, variety of game modes, modern shooter,

KZ - Battles can be large, but smaller than BF (24 players), No aim assist (be ready for a fun challenge), variety of game modes, good dev support with new features coming, free multiplayer map DLC

It's really just personal preference. I like both games, but they're so different that it's hard to pick one that I like. If you want a modern shooter, BF would be your best choice. If you're looking for a game that's more scifi with abilities and such, KZ would be your best choice. Both are a lot of fun. It just depends what you're into.

When I pre-ordered my PS4 I was really excited about 64-player BF4. I played it on the PC and I was excited about large battles on consoles. Since Target was having a buy two get 1 free sale, I picked up two other games. One of those was Killzone. I picked it up because it was a nice looking game that I thought would really show off the system's abilities. I figured I'd play the campaign, maybe a few matches online and be done with it.

As it turns out, I loved Killzone. There was a time when the KZ disc stayed in my PS4 for weeks. Right now, I'm on a BF4 kick, but I'll be back.
