I'm not saying that Killzone was a risk in any way (it was the sixth ******* game in the series -- that's the total opposite of a risk), rather I'm saying that from this point forward, that lawsuit could wipe the fringe projects out of existence due to fears of more lawsuits.

See I disagree completely, after being burnt several times by straight out lies, I think something needs to be done. Take the recent huge hit MLB The Show 14, they touted all the hype that multiplayer was revamped plus connected franchise for you and your buddies. I get the game in my hands and multiplayer has been basically broke since its release and doesn't look to ever become playable smooth.

Sure many people gloss over the online flaws because the game is just that good in single player but the simple fact remains, they made it sound like multiplayer was fixed. Now from the Odogg angle that no game is perfect, I completely agree but lets be honest we all know what is "expected" as far as bugs and what is not tolerated in our current gaming arena. But these MLB The Show issues should not be accepted just because the single player is good. You are a multi-million dollar company, swinging resources to create a playable online experience in this current day should be a standard, it should not be a question of "will it work".

At the end of the day, very few if any games will ever be flaw free. Now on the flip side companies are not being held to a high enough standard for these high dollar projects.

You said the lawsuit would keep companies in the future from taking risks.

Again claiming something on the box that is not true it NOT a company taking risks to make games better etc..
The lawsuit is simply for claiming 1 thing and delivering another. Has zero to do with hurting companies for taking risks.

The problem is game companies have had it easy for far to long. Release a crap game and so be it. Once you open it ..it's yours.
The return "laws" these days hurt games more than anything as the developers know they can just release crap/unfinished games and once the gamer opens it..no return.

If Chevy releases a car that claims 40MPG and in actuality it delivers 18...
You can bet they'd be in court pretty quick.
Tired of the gaming industry not being held to the same quality and truth standards.

I've come to accept that the only thing my PS4 gets used for is FIFA, Battlefield, and Amazon Prime. I haven't touched anything except the occasional NFS for a few weeks now. I need more games to come out for this thing other than remakes.

Biggest things I'm looking to purchase right now are NHL 15, Dragon Age, FIFA 15.

I may pick up Madden this time around. I'm sure my roommate will buy it for his One and I'll get to give it a good demo before hand. I just thought Madden 25 was a bum game.

I just need some good story games that rival those that I had last gen with Heavy Rain, Mass Effect, Max Payne, etc.

I'm still on the fence with Dragon Age, but I'm getting pumped for NBA 2k15. I hope Alien comes through. Still, we have Far Cry 4 which should be enough to tide me over until Little Big Planet 3.

I want to pull the trigger on NBA 2k, but damn..

I'm starting to become a serious sports gamer again if that happens. If I get too many Sports games then I get nowhere in my Franchises.

A few years ago I was purchasing the newest NCAA, Madden, NHL, 2K, The Show, etc. every single year, but I was running a sports league website so it was cool. Now it's just too much with my work schedule.

I'm just so invested in FIFA right now. There's a chance I just pick up NHL and play that for a while. I may order FIFA later when there's a good online deal.

I can only buy digitally, from military-ish stores (Navy Exchange) and the Toys R Us in town and they never run specials or have competitive rates. Good deals are hard to come by unless purchased online.

I see my roommate playing 2K and it looks solid, but I know I don't have the time and I have to force myself to not purchase it.

I don't plan on buying any other sports games other than maybe The Show so 2K is my primary time-hog for sports season.

Madden is always tempting, but I have to fight those urges.

2K looks to be back on the right track. The direction they were going last year really disappointed me, but it sounds like they are getting back to what made the series great in the first place.

My PS4 has been getting quite a workout with The Show + The Last of Us. I see those games getting a lot of time for the foreseeable future (can't wait to dig into TLOU multiplayer).

Really excited for LittleBigPlanet3. The levels people create for that game are always mind-blowing.

My Madden Hype Level was at about a 9 last week (mainly because the game selection so far this gen has been a little weak).

Then came the news of no custom draft classes or editing and my Hype Level went down to about a 6
Then came 2k's MyLeague announcement and my MHL went down to a 3.
Then I watched Hard Knocks and some preseason highlights last night and I'm back up to a 5 or 6.

My Crystal ball says that this is another year where I buy Madden, play it for a month or so, then never touch it again once October hits. Hopefully, I'm wrong and if game play/online leagues are good, then I very well could be..... However, after that 2k announcement and with more news to come, I'm sure that they will own my gaming soul come October 7th.

Right now I'm down to:
Madden - Absolutely. Pretty pumped for it.
Alien- Excitement level has dropped a lot so it's a maybe used down the line.
DA: Maybe
LBP: Yep
Middle - Earth: Maybe
Farcry 4 Yep
Evil Within: Maybe

So right now only Madden, FC4 and LBP for sure.

All these ports and we can't get a South Park port ? It wouldn't be hard either. No graphical enhancements necessary. Just a straight port.

I never got to play it when I was with my PS3 back in the States.

Oh man, you have to play it at some point. I loved it. So well done, it seemed like a 10-hour long episode of the show.

The plan was to let MLB and Madden hold down the fort on my sports gaming. But 2K is making a strong bid to get me to add NBA back to the mix.
