So really video games is all I have to do lol. Yeah I think those ps4 slim and NEO price is going to be what we see. Funny thing is you said about not having auto save and I hate auto save in games because I hate that a lot of games with auto save will make multiple files and I hate that if you mess up you cant go back.
Well I love Nintendo because I like that they are different and I think they still make the best excusive games out there. Zelda and DK are like 2 of my top 5 favorite video game franchise ever and the newest DK game is worth playing just for its amazing soundtrack. Its soundtrack is one of the best I have heard in a video game in a long long time. I like Sony a lot to because they make great exclusives but unlike Nintendo there systems are more up to date. Microsoft I don't care for at all they have made zero excusive games between all 3 of there systems that I would want to get. I am only glad they are around because it gives Sony some competition. I am worried about the NX though because for 2 systems in a wow they have been way underpowered and not gotten 3erd party games and if NX doesn't do well I think they are done making systems.
Well out of the 10 games I have 4 games are sports games and last gen on ps3 I had like 35 games. Only exclusives I have right now are MLB the show, drive club, Knack, Ratchet and clank, Infamous. I do think the system is starting to pick up going forward though with TLG and Horizon. I live in CA and a average winter day is about 50 where I live and it normally snows about 3 days a year but it rains like 80% of winter days and I hate rain. I love like 95-100 even though most people hate the heat. Well I am thinking about playing the 2013 Tomb Raider as you can get it cheap on ps4 now with its DLC and then if I like it maybe get the other one to.
I need auto save. I love The Witcher III in which you can setup how long it takes the game to auto save. I have it set at 10 minutes which is great because it means that I'll never lose more than 10 minutes of progress. I lost two hours in Bloodborne twice and I was like, screw this, im done. LOL. Multiple files is fine because The Witcher has four or five and if I want to go back, I just load up an older file or delete the more current files and let the game auto load the file that I still have.
I agree for the most part in regards to PS4/Xbox One/Wii U. Wii U is the first home console from Nintendo that I haven't owned. Just too gimmicky for me and for just a few games doesn't pay, especially not at $300 which to me, is a huge rip-off compared to the competition. PS4 is my primary for exclusives, multi-platform, psn and indie games. Xbox One is just for the exclusives since I have no interest in gaming on PC.
Weather wise, I prefer 80 degrees and no humidity with a slight breeze. That's perfect for me. Shame it rarely happens. LOL. Some of those games you have are real good. Not counting the sports games simply because im just not into playing them anymore. Yeah, games finally started coming last year and the exclusives im waiting for in 2017 should be some of the best this gen.
TR 2013 was good and you should play it but if you can only play one of the two, I say go straight to ROTTR.Comment

And worth every penny. I am about to double dip on the Collector's, since I keep seeing them pop up for $40-$50 from time to time.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

I know Sony is doing the meeting show thing to show slim and NEO most likely on September 7th and rumors are that Slim comes out on the 14th. For me to get a NEO most likely NEO would have to cost 350-400 and have a like 2 TB hard drive and be able to trade in normal ps4 for 200. If that happens then I could get a ps4 NEO and only have to pay 150-200 and I am going to need to get a bigger hard drive any way and a 2 TB hard drive cost like 100. So then I would really only be paying 50-100 more then I would with just keeping the normal ps4 and getting a bigger hard drive. That may not be likely but I don't really like this whole NEO thing and would rather Sony just do a ps5 in 2018-19 and I don't have a 4k TV yet and don't know when I am going to be able to get one. I need to move out first so I can not only get a 4k TV but so I have a big enough room that it can be like a 50-60 inch TV. With this NEO thing to I am most likely going to want now when ps5 comes out to make sure we don't get a ps5.5 or something. I also wonder with this whole NEO thing if we are done getting new console gens and instead may just do more like computers where you get a updated one that can play games and look better but can still play new games on the old systems to.
PlayStation Meeting should be good as im expecting a few announcements in addition to the slim and Neo. If Neo is $400 or less, it's day one as long as I can trade in my current PS4 towards the Neo for $200. All part of my master plan. LOL.
Everyone knows how I feel about Neo but whatever. I can't change any of it and if I can somehow come away with it for $50 (including a credit card offer I received and accepted), I figure what the hell, how can I pass on that?
500GB is plenty for me even though I may decide to purchase a Solid State Drive if possible for PS4 internally. Some of the loading times is insane and if I can reduce that, great. If the hard drive is more than 500GB and it's still $400, I'll most likely just trade in the hard drive and go with a smaller solid state drive. Have to wait and see. Two more weeks to go.
I don't have a 4K TV nor do I plan on buying one any time soon. Don't really care about the resolution. I care a lot more about the pop-in and the frame rates. Just hoping that Neo gets released before November.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
If the NEO ends up getting announced as being released next year as some have predicted (crossing my fingers this doesn't happen) then that PS4 Slim has my name written all over it. Won't be what I was hoping to buy but at least I will be back on the PS4 train while I wait for the upgrades next year.
That being said I really hope the only reason why NEO would come out next year is because they decided to re-spec and/or match the Scorpio power wise. Otherwise I think they might as well just release it ASAP.
I know not everyone agrees with that. I understand. It's just my personal outlook on the console situation based mostly on the fact that I don't have a PS4 right now and will be looking to buy one sometime in October.
If Neo is early 2017, it would only be because they decided to increase the specs but if that's the case, waiting to PSX would be a better move as it's after the holiday shopping season. Sony has several shows throughout the year where as Microsoft only has E3 but they do have an Xbox show planned for the Fall sometime which would be their version of Sony's PSX show.
I'm hoping $400 for 500GB Neo and im hoping that it gets released by October 4th as my gaming spree starts with Mafia III and would love to have the Neo before all the games come out in October and November.
P.S. - What happened to your PS4?
Definitely. Played it back in May but quit halfway and traded it in because I wanted to play The Witcher III and the expansions. Picked up Doom today at GameStop. For $20, worth playing through it completely this time. Doom and the two Wolfenstein games are by far the best FPS this gen.Comment

Appears that there's also a 1TB PS4 Slim model and that the maximum resolution output is still 1080P - *UPDATED* -

The Slim does not need 4K. It is their entry level model to replace the current OG, which they make to cut costs, and pass on the savings to the consumer. It is there to continue to drive sales at a more affordable price for the casual masses sweet spot pricing (the hardcore already jumped in). Sony has always done this.
The Neo will have more power and 4K for the 'hardcore' enthusiasts out there. Hardcore model, and the continued cost cutting casual model driving their ecosystem forward.
Exactly.Last edited by EnigmaNemesis; 08-24-2016, 12:30 PM.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I wouldn't expect the slim to do anything other than 1080p, it's a value proposition, the neo is the 4k machine. It makes more sense, if you have a 4k tv you would want the neo anyway, no reason to add that cost to the lower end model.Comment

Report: Details on PS4 Slim and New DualShock 4 Emerge: Battery, New Option, Button Quality and More [UPDATED]
- No new features or resolution options could be found in the console, but the shortman82 doesn’t have the new 4.0 system software update yet.
- According to shortman82, the console runs “unbelievably” cool and quiet.
- Triggers and buttons on the new DualShock 4 feel “more solid,” with better materials.
- Buttons and sticks are exactly the same height as the original DualShock 4 controller.
- The additional light bar doesn’t actually have a light of its own. It’s just a see-through strip on the touch pad that lets the original light shine through.
- The battery is the same 1,000 mHa one used in the current DualShock 4. That said, shortman82 mentions that he has owned the console for 24 hours, and the controller is still on two bars.
- The controller comes with an option to select the communication method with the PS4, between USB and Bluetooth. This option seems to be available only to the new version of the controller, but it does appear on the original PS4 console as well.
USB controller communication is great for the competitive gaming scene.
That LED tho! Hope the Neo has a similar design on the Power Button. It also does all the pulsating the OG one does on boot-up/sleep.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Is anyone using the following Solid State Drive in their PS4? If so, how is the loading times and performance compared to the PS4's base hard drive? Thanks.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I used that hard drive on my PS4, except the 1TB version.
Due to SATA2 bottleneck you won't see nearly all the benefits that an SSD offers. It defiinitely offered some small boosts for me here or there and I don't regret upgrading my PS4 with it, but I wouldn't say it is a must-have upgrade that will dramatically change your experience.
I would call it a nice little novelty if you have the cash to spend on the upgrade.Last edited by The JareBear; 08-24-2016, 04:55 PM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

I will say, I have the UC4 controller, and it lasts twice as long as my OG, even OG at launch. I can go about 3-4 days without needing to plug it in with 3 to 4 hour average gaming sessions each day. The battery can remain the same if they use refined/lower draw internals.
