NY, I truly think you struggle to grasp the casual (and massive majority) consumer. They don't use external hard drives and they don't use $300 headsets. They just don't. And, if they're just NOW buying a PS4, they're very obviously not hardcore gamers.

You're just wrong on this one. Period. Sometimes you just have to accept that and move on. Opinions are fine, but to repeatedly and relentlessly state them as facts and argue with everyone all the time is tiring, to say the least.

I'm willing to bet that the casuals don't even know what the optical port is or where it's located on the device. And I agree about the data tracking of use. They track every single time you click a damn on the console and make decisions based on that data that you will probably never get the chance to see and analyze. Because you don't for Sony's analysis division nor are you an executive at Sony. I can see argument where the casuals are starting to use an external hard drive with how games are handled these days. I know I'm just starting to use an external because of convenience and not having to download games. But the expensive headsets yea no casual gamer is buying one of those they will just use the one that comes in the communication bundle with the keyboard (if Sony even makes one of those).

So this was some intense Sony data research. Did Sony use data research to determine that their fans did not want EA ACCESS?

You just keep doing you man. Clearly you and your GameStop manager resource are never wrong. When you seek only affirmation over information no one here will be changing your mind anyway.

Yea they probably did by looking at how many people are using PS Now or whatever it's called.

I will say... Nioh (Koei Tecmo) is the hotness! The recent Beta Demo is showing that it is shaping up nicely.

Onimusha meets Ninja Gaiden meets Souls. Historic and grounded folklore, with great music and presentation to make it all that much sweeter.

I have not been this excited for a Samurai game since the PS2 days.

And of course... Horizon: Zero Dawn (SIE) (PLAYABLE).

                  Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

                  I'm interested in -

                  - RE 7
                  - Nioh
                  - FFXV
                  - Yakuza 6
                  - Horizon: Zero Dawn

Definitely a great lineup and doesn't include possible surprises and reveals. Really surprised that Sony confirmed their lineup for TGS but still haven't confirmed the PlayStation Meeting for Wednesday, September 7th.

No it isn't, lol. The meeting is for 'state of/surprise announcements', it is not a game show to inform of playable games, which is par for the course for those types of events (game shows).

That would be like Nintendo announcing their Treehouse lineup before the Treehouse event.

Nioh is on my radar as well despite it not being my usual type of game. I really enjoyed the Alpha demo and the atmosphere is so cool.

Also... please release Hot Shots Golf soon Sony!!!

True but Sony is live streaming the event. It's supposed to be seen as the PS4 reveal (new hardware) event back in early 2013 so just confirming it should happen. Just surprised they haven't yet.
