    Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

What's my best option for a xbox series X monitor?

I currently have a Dell Alienware AW3418DW 34" (Actual size 34.14") 1900R WQHD 3440 x 1440 120Hz, that i've been using with my pc for a couple years, and really like, however with Madden Next Get not coming to PC, I'm thinking i'd like to upgrade as the series X doesn't not support Ultrawide.

Not very monitor savvy when it comes to numbers and such, but looking for a bigger monitor, that can that the series x can utilize to it's fullest potential.

I would jump on the ROG Strix XG43UQ xbox edition but not really feeling like waiting around for it to drop.

Any great options you can recommend?

Not a monitor, but in my opinion, the best option is the 48 CX/C1 LG OLED.

I don't have a recommendation, but I just wanted to say that I have the same monitor. Do you overclock for 120Hz routinely? Just curious.

I actually don't know what it's set at currently. I use the PC for Madden and IRacing.

That said, it's been sitting unused for the past couple months. Only fired it up today with my xbox only to find out it doesn't support ultrawide.

I thought I had it overclocked, but I just can't be certain without digging into the settings.

LG Ultragear 27GP950-B would be my recommendation.

              1MS 144HZ @ 4K with HDMi 2.1.

It's a pretty impressive monitor and should be future proof for the life of the Series X and PS5 easily. It has been out of stock for a while but recently popped back up on LG's website. It's pricey at $900 but really good.

Discover the 27" UltraGear Monitor that features G-SYNC® Compatibility and UHD Nano IPS Display. Find reviews, specs, and more for 27GP950-B.

I think Samsung is also coming out with a new G7 which is 4K HDMI 2.1 and $100 cheaper but the HDR is only 400 nits which honestly doesn’t make much of a difference between 400 and 600 from the LG.

Unless Samsung fixes the horrible flickering from the last one it is a no...

The LG seems amazing but having no real HDR is a bummer for console gaming

I think my HDR has resulted in getting a little queasy in a couple recent gaming sessions. New thing for me, have never really had this problem before.

One was Sea of Thieves, wasn't even on a boat (we were doing the first Disney Tall Tale), forget the other, may have been The Ascent.

I game on my LG Oled CX, but I'd love this, but it's incredibly hard to get a hold of right now.

Looking for a good all-around monitor. Must be 21:9 or greater, must have solid colors, 100-144hz, 1440p or better. Will be used as a monitor for my MacBook and for my PC once I build it. Will be paired next to a 55" CX.
