Yup...Same here the BenQ monitors are awesome for gaming.

I need to return mine to get the 1440p model for my new gaming rig

Choose monitors with the appropriate frame rate. If you need to play shooters for example this is very important

If HDR is important to you, you can forget about getting real HDR unless you are willing to drop 3k on a monitor.

None of these samsung and lg monitors are going to cut it

Yea I disable the HDR on these monitors. I only use HDR on my OLEDs

BenQ GL2760H if you are on casual gaming and on a tight budget. Asus VG248, BenQ XL2420Z or Dell S2740L if budget is not an issue.

I got a Dell S2721QS from Amazon for 290 (well, minus 15 because the box was missing HDMI, it was a Warehouse used but new). Work was letting us get some home office stuff, and this 4k monitor is amazing...I feel like I got it on a crazy deal cause new on Dell it's like 320 and that was on sale even...I'll definitely have to try gaming on it. I know it's not perfect, but i was going budget a bit.

Don't buy an monitor for ps5. Ps5 is way better on an bigger screen. Or u have to wait until they releasing an budget monitor with really good HDR. I think HDR isn't an monitor thing.

I currently play the show on a 27" 2k LG Monitor... I'm thinking about getting the Samsung G7 28" 4k monitor. Who is playing on a 4k and has played on a 2k monitor to be able to tell me what they think. Is it worth the switch , how does the game look and play in 4k?

I'll defer to others on the above, I've only streamed The Show on my Steam deck so far.

Got this monitor coming from The Insiders to review. Considering selling my Odyssey G9 or trying to find some way for them to coexist on my desk... mounting them on top of each other would be a bit of a feat unless I do it to the wall or something... which might happen.

Finally pulled away from my LG CX to a LG 27GP950 4K monitor purchased from Best Buy last night. Found a open box that didn’t even look like it was even setup. Out the box I’m pretty impressed. Gonna play with some settings and see how much more I can tweak.

Finally pulled away from my LG CX to a LG 27GP950 4K monitor purchased from Best Buy last night. Found a open box that didn’t even look like it was even setup. Out the box I’m pretty impressed. Gonna play with some settings and see how much more I can tweak.

WHy did ya pull away from the CX?

With all the kids gone except for our 10 yr old, I decided to take one of the empty rooms in the basement and make it my gaming/sports room and what I’ve been using in the past since we moved in, a movie room. The monitors I’ve had in the past were pretty basic but this one is truly more of what I’ve always wanted.

As bad as I couldn’t wait for the kids to move on and out, I miss the hell out of them lol.

Here’s few pics of what I had and my new work in progress. Still need to add a nice futon and some more pictures/posters.

I’m scouring the internet looking at YouTube trying to find the right settings. Initial thoughts are the colors don’t pop yet and I think it’s just me not knowing what the hell I’m doing yet. Gonna play with it more this evening and report back.

I did end up getting an open box with total coming out to $799 but today the price dropped $200 on it so was able to get another $120 off open box so I ended up paying roughly $680 for a $900 monitor at Best Buy. Not to shabby.
