Brandwin, what Gamer and Art recommended are great. I love LG for consoles and currently have two different ones.

If you never plan to use PC on it then that last part dont matter

Like I said I owned both and I never crank the brightness too high where it hurts or becomes annoying. I didn’t notice any difference at all picture wise. The only difference was the stand but they didn’t matter since I have mounts on my deck. I personally would choose the cheaper one but that’s just me. I sold them and got a 1440p 144htz monitor for my pc.

The one Art posted is dope and one of the better ones but if you can squeeze 150 more you should safeguard yourself and go for the samsung g7

            https://www.microcenter.com/product/...gaming-monitor

The contrast ratio on LG monitors are trash as blacks look grey at night but on Samsung g7 you get 1440p resolution and 240hz with better response time and offers gsync and freesync

I am currently on the samsung g7 but also have the new LG 4k 144hz GN950 and it is amazing but contrast levels stink on ips

Deciding if the superior motion of 240hz at 1440p with superior contrast is worth it over the LG 4k which is sharp and very detailed with superior color but horrible contrast.

I thought about that LG GN950 but the piece seems too steep. I bought a bias light for the back of my monitor and it helps a lot with contrast, but you’re right I wish the contrast was better on the LGs. Which one are you leaning towards?

I have a 2 monitor set up and I have the lg 27gN850-b and lg 27gL850-b . I bought the lg 27gL850-b a while back and was looking for a second monitor for the set up and found the lg 27gN850-b at bestbuy last weekend. The specs of the lg 27gN850-b are the same as the lg 27gL850-b minus the built in USB connection that the lg 27gL850-b comes with but for $50 less. Picture quality is great on either one. The N model is the 2020 version I believe.

Cant go wrong with either one

I have the PG27UQ - this seems to still have the same issues I have with it.
1 - only 1 hdmi port. Desktop, work computer, console - can't connect all without an hdmi switch. I have yet to find a switch that works with VRR, let alone hdmi 2.1 at this point.
2 - VRR - Gsync. Does no good for consoles. At this point you are better off finding a freesync/gsync certified monitor.

-I think the HDR 1000 on this one looks great, I am curious to see how much better 1400 would be.
-32'' is a little large - good for those who might use one or two monitors, but I use a triple setup so a 32'' is no good.

Has anyone looked at the Eve Spectrum? I preorderd 3 of the 4k models a couple months back. They seem to have all the specs I want (2 hdmi 2.1, 1 ms response, freesync and gsync certified), can get 3 for the same price I paid for my PG27UQ so I can have all three monitors the same (I have a couple of the LG 4k HDR monitors from 2016 or so as my sides currently, it annoys me they all look slightly different.) The only thing that is a step down from the PG27UQ on them is they are HDR600 not HDR1000 - but I am sure I can manage.

So I sold the LG 4k 144hz monitor after missing the smoothness of 240hz when browsing and opening up apps and tabs. It is amazing and feels so much nicer

And in games like Modern Warfare I am getting max settings at about 150 to 180 fps.

In Madden 160fps and it feels so smooth.

Yea the image is not sharp like 4k but is still very nice

When I get my 3090 I will be able to do most games at 200fps or more
