Look, everyone here knows you're one of the biggest MS fanboys on the planet. That's cool. But let's not pretend that this isn't the company that has made many, many promises about their machine in the past.

They've already started backtracking on it.

Penello went on an interview and said, “I think people get confused and say our messaging is weird. Not every developer is going to use it that way. Not every developer is going to decide to take that 6TFLOPs and do 4K/60fps with it. They might decide for their game, their engine that they want to do something different and that’s fine. But our goal is to build a box that deliver true 4K games at the same level of fidelity that you see on your current Xbox One games. That is the box we are building. We know we can do it. We wouldn’t have went out and said it if we didn’t think we could do it. We have a lot of work ahead to do it but that is our goal.”

“I am not saying every game will be 4K/60fps but developers may not choose to do that.”

Corners will have to be cut to even hit a steady 30fps at 4K on games, let alone 60. I understand if you don't keep up with all the current technology, I'm just trying to tell you to stop getting your hopes up by what PR people say.

It will be a great addition to this generation of consoles, as will the Neo I'm sure. They aren't gamechangers at all though. We're still years away from affordable 4K on PC, we won't get affordable legitimate 4K on consoles any time soon.

They aren't alchemists turning lead into gold. TFLOPS aren't a great measure of power in gaming, but it gives you a rough estimate of what to expect from a machine. There are facts. If you want to blindly ignore them, that's on you.

And as I said, I stated I have my doubts but all I did was quote one of the heads of MS. I never said it was facts. You choose to want to hear what gives you a chance to comment on something you have nothing to do with or care for. I have serious doubts but I quoted him and said if this is true..KEYWORD IF then the price is worth it. Is that hard to understand? You went with your sarcasm for no reason

No am not the biggest MS fanboy. I own both consoles and play my PS4 far more. I stated that plenty but that would not allow you to have your sarcasm beam activated so you choose what makes you feel cool.

End of rant...no point talking about something with someone who feels MS is just liars and none of what they claim is true....

Omg. Some of you guys just need to chill. Let's just game and be happy. To be honest , in getting my Xbox S tonight and reading the suppose prices of these new system is crazy. The one S maybe my last system. I'm a bit pissed with these companies decision to update so soon. All the 4k crap And yes I say crap cause there was need to upgrade this early in both consoles life span. We are the fools cause we keep buying,and buying into the hype always. Crap, they should let us enjoy this gen instead of pull the rug from us so soon into this gen. I'm very happy with this Gen graphics, like really we are the true sucks while they laugh at us and take our money .

Agree 100%. Only reason im picking up the slim tomorrow is because at worse, I'll break even when the time comes I sell the slim and move on. Basically, it's a good investment in the short term and the long term.

Only reason I changed my tune on Neo is actually simple. I was approved for another credit card and it has 0% APR for 15 months and $150 cash back if I spend $500 in the first three months once I receive and activate it so I figure if Neo is $400 for the 500GB version and I can get $200 for the base PS4, Neo will only cost me $50. Figure that for the price of a game, how can I really pass on that? If it wasn't for this deal coming my way, me buying Neo would still be 5%. It's more about me getting an excellent deal than anything else.

I want to pick up the new slim tonight, but at the same time now that the NEO is going to be announced soon I'm thinking about holding off on the Xbox slim.

So I got the baby hooked up and man this machine is so damn sexy and so small. I didn't think it was going to be this small. I saw the videos, but until you see it in front of you , you really don't know how compact and small it is . This is how it should have been made out the gate. Anyway. Great job MS. I see a lot of these selling even at holiday time . I'm happy

very weird that the 2tb slim when first turning it on has the xbox controller icon pop up on the screen like it always does and asks to press A

In the 2tb the controller is white and the firmware update that has a picture of the xbox one had the slim in white

Well the 500gb has the same black controller and fat xbox one black in the firmware update

I am sure many will complain about things but that is weird

UPDATE: After the firmware downloaded it went into the Apply update mode and now the console is white and the slim...I guess the 2tb had the latest firmware already baked in
