I figured ratchet would be a launch window game so i am not surprised but its nice to now that for sure now. Getting spiderman at launch and ratchet in window is great i think ratchet will be feb/march but i would not complain if we got ratchet in jan or even late December. The 30 and 60 fps i don't care cant tell the difference but hopefully people will stop talking about it now. I think 60 will be at 1440p and 30 fps will be 4k.

NBA 2K, for example, is absolutely butter (60FPS is not). I do hope to see consoles push for the higher frame rate if your TV allows, it is a game changer, period. I would argue anyone that claims otherwise has never played on a high rate monitor. I cannot enjoy 60FPS right now, once you play at a higher rate, it is very difficult.
I'm looking to playing with higher FPS. That's why I'm looking forward to more games offering more performance modes. I never played on a high rate monitor, so yeah I don't know that feeling. But after reading up on it, it does seem like a game changer.

I just think that until 120 FPS TVs become more mainstream, I think 120 FPS will be used mainly in competitive modes/games. Im not even sure if my TV is 120FPS capable. It has MotionRate 120, but don't know if that is the same. So until it is more common that most gamers have a 4k 120 capable TV, we are more likely to see 60 FPS locked as the standard performance mode for the first couple years. Plus most of the publishers will always push for graphical fidelity over performance for console gaming. But once we have a higher adoption rate of 120+ TV/monitors, we will start seeing higher FPS games.

Ratchet will be March/April. Sony will want the user install base to grow a little in those three to five months plus, chances are that PS5 will be sold out for a time so no reason to release Ratchet soon after the PS5 launches when there would be no PS5 consoles for people to buy. Besides, Sony would be stupid not to spread out their exclusives. No reason for Sony to bunch them all together.

I agree with 4K/30FPS and 1440P/60FPS with Ray Tracing and/or HDR. However, there's a definite difference. For anyone who's played Bloodborne which is a damn good example, playing sub 30FPS does hurt the gameplay because it doesn't have the fluidity and responsiveness that it would have at a locked 60FPS. Plus the higher the frame rate, the better the picture would be due to the better image quality.

Higher and stable frame rates is huge. It makes the game feel so much more fluid and responsive. Take Bloodborne for example. It runs under 30FPS a good amount of the time, has bad frame pacing and feels stiff and clunky with bad response time plus I don't believe that it has iFrames so that hurts it as well. Just imagine a locked 60FPS to where the game then plays smooth like butter with great responsiveness and fluidity.

Also, the higher the frame rate, the BETTER your picture will look because the image quality itself is better. Give me 60FPS and higher baby!!! Whooo!!!

I'm willing to sacrifice resolution for better overall performance. Native 4k isn't a priority for me. I'll take Dynamic/Upscaled 4k or even Native 1440p if I can get 60FPS locked and Ray Tracing

I’m not 100% on TVs but I’m pretty sure those advertised as 120hz and stuff are kind of a trick and not really that speed. Monitors are quite expensive for a 144hz 27” and up. Can’t imagine TVs that advertise a 65” that exceed those refresh rates are legit refresh rates unless you’re on a really high end TV (I know I’m sure not haha)

              A motion rate 120 means it’s really 60hz.

Thats what I figured. I'm not in a hurry to buy a new TV. I barely used that current tv in the last 8 month's since I sold my PS4s. Maybe Black Friday 2021, but I already have a few big purchases this year I'm making around Black Friday. Plus, I rather wait a year or so to see what are the best TVs for the consoles. It's one thing to see them now. But most of the 'best TVs for PS5/SX' you see now are just going off specs and AMD capable features. After a year or so, you'll figure out which are truly the best for them and you'll start to see more dedicated TVs that are built with consoles in mind.

That's what I'm looking at. I'm sure by Black Friday 2021 that CX will be discounted even more than it will this Black Friday. I just want a good TV that takes advantage of the console for duration of its lifespan. I only got the 4k TV i have because I got the PS4 Pro as a gift. If I didn't the Pro, I probably would have waited. As the new C series and other TVs come out, the CX will drop in price. I'm not concerned with Burn-In with the OLED. I don't put in major hours into games daily

Yea I'll be purchasing a 65 soon also

I'm not worried about burn in I gamed heavy on my B6 and the CX is future proof with features.

Oleds don't tend to drop very much in price when new models release

There won’t really be Black Friday sales, it’s more gonna be the entire month of November.

You're right. That's how it has been last few years. The sales usually begins early November and lasts through out the month. You don't really see a difference in sales from early November to Black Friday. Heck, I don't even think there is much of a difference with Cyber Monday sales. Especially this year and pandemic, sales will be predominantly online and throughout month.

I'm okay with the TV I have now for the next couple years. It'll get the job done for gaming for me. I already have money saved up for the PS5 and games/Software. Not trying to spend an extra 1000-2000 on a TV. The only thing I'm trying to get November is the PS5 and a new Smart Phone

The LG CX OLED 55" is on sale for $1500 at Best Buy and Amazon. It's normally $1800. I'm looking to buy the 48" for $1500 but if the 55" stays on sale until the 18th/20th, I'll buy that one instead. If it jumps back up, I will stay with the 48" -
