Until Sony confirms the HDMI 2.1 bandwith like MS has which is 40gb and confirms it has FreeSync none of these tvs mean anything for PS5

    14ms input lag at 4k 60fps

You need to do freesync at 1440p 120hz to get input lag at 5 or 6ms and I need to know SOny will offer freesync

So heard a few days ago that the like PlayStation youtube channel upload a video set to privet or something. Now considering we have gotten a lot of ps5 updates on Tuesday and Thursdays i wonder if tomorrow we might be getting a system break down video or something and than maybe at the end a date with pre-order date or when we might get a ps5 state of play or something.

If some PS5 games are doing a 120 fps then these OLEDS are needed.

If Sony does not support freesync it dont matter. Besides there is not going to be any top games at 120fps so you dont need to worry about that.

Dirt 5 and maybe COD but triple A games not getting to 120fps and without Freesync the tv you buy means little as you will once again be counting on the devs to vsync or adaptive vsycn which will lead to issues

It would be stunning to me that anybody will pay 500 for a console if they do not provide VRR

Looks like PS5 may be released in U.S. and Canada in Holiday 2020 with the rest of the world being Late 2020.

A recent trailer by Activision seems to suggest that the PlayStation 5 will be delayed for the rest of the world, launching in the US & Canada first.

Agreed but thus far, Microsoft is still launching worldwide so we'll see what happens.

I think the biggest benefit the SSD brings to me is that I can play on a higher difficulty. I typically play on easy because I die a lot and I always get frustrated. So knowing that it will only take a few seconds to start the fight back up will be huge.

That along with loading up save files mid-game in a flash. I can think of games like RDR2 and waiting about a minute to load up a save file in a minute. That along with fast loading into and out of games. I have limited time to play games. So, if I can boot up a console, into a game, then load up to my last save file all within 1-2 minutes, that is huge for me.

I'm seeing it from both sides. On hand, once it is announced, all the wait is not going to matter anymore. On the other hand, we're just over 2 months out so it's ridiculous. We don't even know which games are launch day vs launch window. And there still a "secret launch title". There shouldn't be any secrets at this time. Still haven't seen enough next gen gameplay at this point.

At this point, I hope this more of a logistic concern than the game of chicken. I can understand the logistic concerns with the pandemic and not wanting to set a date and have to push it back and ensuring method of shipping. But if this still a game of chicken, it's not that serious. If they end up matching prices for base consoles, that'll be frustrating because that could have been done months ago. At this point, most know which consoles they want. They know Series S will be cheapest. I don't want it to get to October and we still don't know

When you say launch day vs launch window, do you mean just the exclusives? Because cross-gen titles, you can know just by looking at their PS4/XO release dates. And "secret launch title"??? What's this about?

I think it has to do with Covid-19 and wanting to make sure they have enough units at launch. As far as I know, Sony has said that PlayStation 5 will only be available in NA and Canada at launch with other regions being later in the year. I also believe that it's because both Sony and Microsoft want to price their consoles at $600 but don't want to be the first to do so especially when the other would probably under cut them.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see us go into October still waiting for the release date, price and when pre-orders go live.
