Patch sizes should be smaller since they don't have to include the game file with the update like with HDD.
I wouldn't want to deal with Gamestop. So many stores are closing and they are desperate to find a way to stay afloat.

GameStop still has over 5000 stores. Closing a few hundred that are either A) losing money to begin with, B) are too close to another GameStop or C) are extremely close to having their lease expire isn't as big as some people are making it out to be.

I will be pre-ordering the Xbox Series X at GameStop since I have over $700 in trade in credit.

In general, I see GameStop lasting for the upcoming generation. Once gaming goes all digital or 90%+, then I believe that GameStop will be done. For the next few years and for sure the next few months, there's nothing really to worry about.

GameStop stock has doubled in the last few months so they are in better shape then they use to be. Their sales should go up the next year as most people don't want to buy their console online

I will be pre-ordering the Xbox Series X at GameStop in store since I have the trade in credit but I will also be pre-ordering one at Best Buy online for in-store pickup to ensure I get one. Then, once I have the Series X from GameStop home and all connected, I'll go to Best Buy to pick it up and return right there or just not pick it up which will lead to an automatic refund. Point is that I definitely don't want my brand new console to be tossed around during shipping like a hot potato. lol.

Oh yea most definitely I would assume near everyone will go to some store and pick up the new systems. I cant even get a funko delivered online safely I'm not trusting them with a $500 console.

Regardless of the price the PS5 will still sell like hotcakes just because of the Playstation brand much like people spending $1000+ for an iPhone and the Apple brand. It's all about branding and Microsoft to their credit, now gets it. In the EU, the Playstation brand is still the top dog. Sony can counter on the Playstation brand and its depth and wealth of 1st party exclusives.

Microsoft OTOH has gone with a more clever approach aka Rent to Buy and XBOX Series S or X. And now comes the news that EA Play is coming to Game Pass Ultimate so you can just buy an XBOX and get a crap load of games included and never really have to buy another game if you don't want too.

So it's basically Sony + Playstation Brand + 1st Party Exclusives vs Microsoft and their Rent to Buy and their all in one Netflix gaming services now that EA Play has been added.

I disagree that they'll sell "like hotcakes".

I don't see the demand meeting a $500 price point, especially with this years economic situation.

I think there will be a shortage. I still remember how hard it was to get a PS2 when those came out. I guess it depends on how much production was affected by COVID.

Assassins Creed Vanhala confirmed by the devs to be 4k60fps on series X. Did not see them say PS5 as well since is funny to you that I mentioned one huge perk of the xsx

The one x is more powerful than the pro and I don’t think it made that much difference in who bought what.

As I mentioned prior, it doesn't matter how much power one is over the other to me because in retrospect, they're really both excellent and similar consoles. It's still all about the number of different games I'll be able to play on the PS5 over the X. But what happens when both are able to replicate the same results? How can you still make this argument? However, there's still a feature missing on the X I still won't get.


As for new PS5 news?
