 Re: PlayStation 5

Never gaming on a PC and never sitting closer than 10 feet away from a TV. Most viewing is probably 12-15 feet really. In order to take advantage of 4k for gaming at least would require a PS5 which I currently do not own. Rather not upgrade to 4k unless I would buy at minimum the Hisense 8 series unit. Like $650 now for a 55"? I've seen the seating charts find it hard to believe you need to sit 5 feet away to see 4k on a 55" set. I dunno.
5 feet isn’t necessary or practical. Hell, I’m sitting at a normal sized desk with a 34” ultrawide monitor, and my head is probably 3’ away… at a desk, lol.

That being said, I would try to hold out for a deal on something at least 65” if you’re going to be sitting 12-15 feet away. I think 55” is objectively a little too small in that environment. You could definitely do much bigger, but 65” is still more than serviceable at that distance.

 Re: PlayStation 5

Yeah I don't buy the charts I have had a 55 inch tv since like 2017 when I got my first 4k tv the Samsung ks8000 led tv and now have had the same size but LG CX OLED tv since like middle 2021 and I am like 8-9 feet away from the tv and the difference in 4k is big. I will likely keep my current tv for a while don't tend to buy new TVs that often have had 4 in my life will be 34 next month and I don't have room on my stand to go any bigger and being in a apartment don't think I can really hang a tv.5 feet isn’t necessary or practical. Hell, I’m sitting at a normal sized desk with a 34” ultrawide monitor, and my head is probably 3’ away… at a desk, lol.

Yeah thanks but I already own a decent 65 that is in that space. Thinking about a decent 55 4k in the office but the viewing distance is around 10 feet and anything larger will not fit on the entertainment table I am using.

I have a 27 inch monitor for the PC not 4k.Comment

Anyone got the Playstation Visa credit card? Currently offering a $125 statement credit after using the card for $400. So you get the PS5 for $275. Sounds good anyone do this? No annual fee.Comment

Can't wait time to finally see spiderman 2 and being we have not had a big show in over a year and a half it's clear that Sony has been hiding a lot of things. I wonder how far out the stuff will be that they show. Like will it be stuff for this year and 2024 or will we also see some 2025 stuffComment

 Re: PlayStation 5

I do want to see how Spider-Man 2 looks and plays. Insomniac did a great job with Ratchet and Clank. Ratchet and Clank is one of the true next gen games, so I can't wait to see what Insomniac does after 5 years after the first game.

 I can see Spider-Man 2 being the first game shownLast edited by illwill10; 05-20-2023, 02:39 PM.Comment

 Re: PlayStation 5

I'm glad to see the shift towards current gen only. There will still a good number of cross gen games over the next 2 years, but it does seem like starting in 2024, we'll see less cross gen games. Which for me, is a good thing to see. I do want to see what these consoles can really do. Ratchet and Clank is one of them games that feels next gen games. But I do want to see next gen gameplay and game design.Comment

 Re: PlayStation 5

I wouldn't say so per say since the Series S had a SSD as well. Without full knowledge, I want to say it would be scaling back visuals. If anything that might hold back games, it would be games that are made on Nintendo SwitchLast edited by illwill10; 05-22-2023, 07:52 AM.Comment
