2 things here, First, you can find a 12 month PS plus subscription at cdkeys throughout the year for around $30. I paid $28 for one a month or so ago. They always have it way cheaper.

Second thing, is anyone else having trouble connecting the PS4 gold headset to the PS5? Mine will not show up for anything. I'm seeing it says it's compatible but I'm not having any luck.

EDIT: Just checked price at cdkeys, $31.99 for 12 month PS plus

Try plugging the USB dongle into a USB port in the back. The front USB port, at least at launch, wouldn’t work for my sons Arctic 7 headset either. Very odd and that was an approved headset too.

Almost February and you still can't find a ps5 at Walmart or local stores. Barely online. Man what a mess. Guess I should of pre ordered one. But I'm at the point now where I don't really care. I'll just stick with the ps4 for longer.

This is what I feared, and it's why I don't regret pushing hard for a pre-ordered one back before launch despite only owning 3 actual PS5 games by now (2 of them freebies due to owning PS4 versions). I had a feeling there would still be availability uncertainty at this point - perhaps even longer. Having that potentially drag on into The Show's release window was a risk I wasn't taking.

And its not the PS5 only. Been keeping my eye out for the Xbox consoles and they too are constantly unavailable or out of stock. Prices on Ebay are starting to come down but I refuse to go that route.

So I just snagged a PS5. What are some of the first things I should do?

I know this question has probably been asked a million times.

I can't wait to feel how the controller works.

I'd like to know how some of the cross platform games perform compared to the XSX. I know in specs the XSX is better, but that doesn't always mean it's better. For example, has anyone played Madden on both consoles? And is there any discernable differenced? Does the controller make it better on PS5? Are the graphics and framerate the same?

One more thing, it is fully backward compatible, correct? I can play The Show in 4K HDR at 60fps, correct? And how much better is it compared to PS4? Is there a graphical improvement?

I know it's a lot of questions so I apologize and thank you in advance.

If you want to experience what the dualsense can do play asto's playroom it's not just a glorified tech demo it's also a good platformer.

The improvement for The Show '20 comes from the fact that it runs at a solid 60fps and at 4k.

In general games looking and playing better depends on the game.

Got the plat for Planet Coaster. Pretty fun game. Took about 35 hours.

Going to be a long while before I get one; no stores within 250 miles are ever showing as being in stock so even if I were quick enough on the button press to purchase one, I couldn't actually go through with the transaction because the consoles aren't available to be shipped directly to me. Oh well. Maybe this summer/fall, things will change in terms of availability.

But at this point I'm over it. I never dreamed it would take this long. And I refuse to throw 800 dollars towards one off ebay or whatever.

I don't remember PS4s being readily available until late February early March back when it was launched. The echo chamber of the internet has just gotten louder since then so it's making a mostly normal situation a much bigger deal than I think it is.

Try going thru Sony Direct. They've also devised a system to combat bots and are loading up everyday I'm hearing. I believe they will ship it directly to you.
