Agreed. Hoping Sony expands Housemarque to two teams. One that focuses on AAA games like Returnal and a second team that focuses on AA twin stick/platformer games like Alienation and Matterfall. We had Dead Nation in 2010 and Alienation in 2016. I want DinoNation, damn it!!!!

It could just a PlayStation blog/news week. With it being leaked by the ESRB rating, likely Sony wanted to get it out asap. I wouldn't be surprised if they announced Blue Point acquisition tomorrow

Yeah that's true the leaks may have forced there hand and maybe we get more info on the story and how long it is at a state of play.

Could be a similar situation to the DualSense, where they knew they had to reveal the info on it because new dev kits were coming out and it would have gotten leaked. It's so hard nowadays to keep things under wraps. Especially when you have to register/publish it. That's why we typically see things get revealed long in advance. Might as well get ahead of the leak and control narrative.

If there is an event, I could see it being sometime this month. But there isn't really a rush for Sony. Consoles already out, still in the Summer Gamesfest window.

Maybe dont like need a show per say but they do have a lot of things they could show in a show. DS directors cut info more about this and horizon forbidden west release date and first real trailer for GOW.

State of Play showcasing a 9 minute demo of Deathloop, some third party game updates, and indie titles on Thursday 5pm EST. No GoW or Horizon or PSVR updates.

Haven't had any interest in Deathloop. But, I'm curious to see what third party games will be shown. Something is telling me we might see NBA 2k22 reveal. It would make sense since Sony showed it off last year and it being during the middle of the finals.

I'm still not going to get a PS5 until next year at the earliest, but a main selling point for me will be customizable games.

Meaning roster sharing on sports games, created wrestlers on wrestling games, and just as importantly, custom music in games (like walkup/inning music for mlb, break in play music for hockey, custom entrance themes for wrestling).

I know it's too early to tell since the 2020 releases weren't exactly fully next gen, but has anyone heard if the games coming out later this year might have those things on PS5?

If not, guess I'll continue waiting because those are fairly big dealbreakers based on what I look for in these games.

I hate how Sony has done marketing the last like year and a half or so just random dropping news like Nintendo. I am not normally interested in indie games and Deathloop I am not interested in at all. I will watch but not expect much. More waiting for GOW gameplay and Horizon forbidden west game play and some other stuff.

That will suck. I want to get back into gaming, but those features were such a big part of my games on ps3. Turned generic game sounds into something so good.
