Overall underwhelming for me up until Wolverine and Spider-Man 2, and they are probably 12-18+ months away?

Some of these others don't hit home for me because I have such a backlog to get to (like God of War) so follow-ups or additions aren't as exciting to me yet. Additionally most of the first half of the presentation are also on PC which is my preferred ecosystem to invest in, all things considered.

I will say that GTA was kinda flat, there was nothing obviously 'enhanced' to me except maybe an explosion... especially compared to the trailers it was surrounded by. It's an amazing game in one of the best environments ever constructed for a game, but it's showing it's age.

Yes it was not that good in till the last like 10 minutes or so and yes those 2 games are far off but 2022 with Horizon forbidden west, GT7 and GOW is basically set nicely. So its not really a issue to have a tease of what will be after that and this is like what these 2 games give us.

When are you expecting PSVR2 stuff?

I believe they want to release this for next holiday season (2022) so we should see something early next year about launch information, its look, and its price. I was hoping to see the headset before the end of the year but the world changed and everything seems delayed. The specs are in however and it's going to be a beast.

8/10 for me.

Insomniac is by far Sony's best and most efficient studio. Spider Man 2 was a given because it's too popular right now and the movie releases in 3 months. Wolverine was a surprise and im very happy!!! Can't wait to slice and dice!!

Forspoken looks great. Project Eve looks like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta had a child (lol) but looks good and im interested.

Star Wars KOTOR Remake is a shocked as that's been heavily rumored to be an Xbox exclusive due to the original being on the original Xbox. Have to see gameplay/combat system but im interested.

With Wolverine it will also be interesting to see how they thread the needle with regards to violence, blood, etc.

Figure it is going to play more like Batman Arkham Asylum than Spider-Man given the differences in mobility, fighting styles, etc. Guessing we don't see anything else for 4-6 months on that though.

Wonder what the supporting cast will look like in the game.

I do wonder how far they will go with the violence. Are we talking the PG-13 X-Man Origins Wolverine and 2013 Wolverine violence or 2017 Logan Rated R violence lol. I have a feeling they lean towards the PG-13 violence. I do see more of Arkham Batman combat system. Also wonder how they incorporate his ability to heal quickly. Where I can see a similar health bar to Spider-Man where it automatically goes back but starts slow.

They said it was very early in development. So this was likely one of them vertical slices to show off the engine capability. So I see this as a late 2023-2024 release at the earliest. You have Horizon in February, GT7 in March. I can see God of War being released in September next year. Spider-Man 2 will likely be a Q3 2023 game. I can see God of War being the last major Cross-Gen release. Even in 4k, that looked like a game that could be ran on PS4 like how Spider-Man Miles Morales looked. So, I see Sony phasing out PS4 starting in 2023.

I agree on GoW. It did look like a Ps4 game. Where at least HFW looks like a clear upgrade over HZD. HFW looks like a Cross gen game that has to be scaled down to the PS4. GOW:R looks like it has to be scaled up to the PS5.

Insomniac was a fantastic acquisition. Where they are giving you Quality and Quantity. Not too mention the Spider-Man Remaster. That's the type of remaster you want to see(talking to you Rockstar lol)

The thing is with Gorilla games giving us forbidden west has early has they are this gen they could end up giving us a Horizon 3 this gen to and sucker punch is likely giving us a Ghost of Tsushima 2 and than you still have the other sony studios like Naughty dog.

I'm hoping that it's M rated but im expecting it to be T rated but it will still have blood and violence. It just won't be graphic or to the extent of Tsushima or TLOUP2. As for the healing, that's easy. Similar to what you said. Regenerating health but with upgrades that allow you regenerate faster would be my guess.

I think Wolverine is Fall 2024. I have Spider Man 2 as Fall 2023. I think God of War Ragnarok is Spring 2023. They didn't post or say the year at all yesterday during the trailer or post show interview so im guessing that it's been pushed back which makes sense considering how much is going to be in the game and that it concludes the Norse story line.

I see Spider Man 2 as September 2023. Insomniac though is awesome. Two released games already, two announced. A third most likely in development which is expected to be a Rivet spinoff from Ratchet & Clank which is perfectly fine by me. And that's all within the first half of the generation.

I said this a year and I will say it again - Insomniac WILL be Sony's best and most efficient studio this generation.

I agree in regards to how GOWR looks compared to Horizon 2. It does look more cross-gen but GOW 2018 looked better which much more detail than Horizon did in 2017 so that definitely plays a part in how it looks.

Sackboy and Gran Turismo 7 are also cross-gen. I would move GOWR to 2023 but other than that, looks real good. And this is before Sucker Punch, Naughty Dog, Firesprite (who have 3 games in development), Guerrilla Games second game led by the guy who led Rainbow Six Siege, Bend Studio who's working on a new IP and everyone else.

Insomniac is literally carrying the majority right now for Sony and PlayStation 4/5. Insomniac was the steal of the century.

Even the PG13 movie had an M rated game that was absolutely nuts and had helicopter decapitation finishers and stuff. I trust they’ll do him justice.
