Anyone have the Sony pulse 3D? Thinking of picking up a set for my ps5. I hope it doesn’t sound as bad as the Xbox wireless ones which are mainly bass heavy but the mids are horrendous.

They are... okay? I think I liked my original Golds a little better.

However, I am not the best to answer it because one, I do not mess with settings to make headphones sound good. Two, I am one of those people that do not really care how the game sounds. I really only use headphones for communication.

I have a set, I'm not an audio expert so I think the sound is good. I actually think I hear location of sound in these a little better than what I have on PC (older steelseries arctis)

The microphone is convenient but I've had others say it sounds muffled due to the location being at the ear. The controls and buttons to increase sound and mute are not in a good location that are easy to change without taking the headsets off.

I think sound is good, microphone OK and button placement meh. Also if you keep them on you have to turn them off and back on after starting ps5.

I'm glad I purchased them for 99 and they're worth that. I am debating though of getting the steel arctis 7ps because of better sounding mic and better button placement although I think the sound may be a tad better in the pulses.

Zanner brought up a good point that I forgot about. My friends brought up, if you care about how you sound to them, that I sound "far away" or that my $10 wired headset has better voice because they can hear me more clearly.

            I'm done buying Sony headphones.

I've had three sets of Wireless Golds and I know the Pulse 3D is easily an upgrade over those but just the experience with Sony products in general has me wary. I only kept buying them because I lived in Japan and the selection was slim unless you felt like waiting weeks to have something mailed.

One of them the band broke.
One of them stopped working inexplicably.
One of them it sounds like I'm talking from set of The Little Mermaid.

I'll be talking and then randomly people say it sounds like I'm being abducted by Aliens and I have to turn them off and back on. I got a really good deal on a set of Turtle Beach headphones but I'll likely upgrade to Arctic 7P before too long. At least people can actually hear me talking with my current set.

The Pulse 3D headphones may be really good.. no idea. I just know I won't buy anything Sony brand again.

Most Sony in-ear headphones are great. I've been disappointed in any cans of theirs though, specifically gaming headphones.

I have the midnight black Pulse 3Ds coming tomorrow. This concerns me a bit but I will give impressions.

I'm sure they will be fine. It's probably like any manufacturer.. someone out there has had a bad experience with them. I wasn't trying to scare anyone just giving my experience with Sony.

I’ve been rolling with the Pulse 3D’s since PS5 release date. I am by no means an audiophile, bit I like them. I think they sound good, and the people I am in parties with never have any complaints about being able to hear me with one exception.

If I start to have headset fatigue and try to adjust them to odd angles on my head (leaned forward or back) they will complain about me being muffled a little. When I wear them how headsets are designed, everyone says they are very clear.

Most other headsets I have tried with the 5 I tend to get an echo in party chat.

Again, I’m no audiophile, but my experience with the Sony set has been extremely pleasant.

I don't chat often has I am like a 99% offline gamer. The odd thing though is I have the sony like gold from ps4 and I have like 2 friends who I know in real life who I sometimes will voice chat with them and never had an issue with echo before on ps4. Now they are still on ps4 and they say they get echo on there but I dont get it on my end and in fact I hear them better than I did on ps4 lol. So odd that its only on there end and only started when I got ps5. No idea why that would be.

The show will be around 20 minutes long, and will focus on "upcoming third-party releases headed to PS5 and PS4". https://t.co/WLyDvtN28C https://t.co/tOrcfvVLC5 "

With it being 20 minutes, can't expect to many games. I expect mostly just updates on games coming in the holiday. Like COD, GTA Trilogy, Sherlock Holmes, Among Us

                          Me either, that’s odd.

I guess I could’ve prefaced with the fact that I’m nit an online gamer either for the most part.

I’ve got a buddy that lives like 12 hours away and we chat while we play games (or watch football, YouTube, etc.)

Then I’ll chat with my son while he plays, of he’ll join my buddy and I.

We occasionally play an online game together, and I’ve played some ranked on the show this year(but don’t chat with my opponent).

Yeah 20 minutes is not much. I am surprised we are getting this figured sony was done for like the year out side of like maybe showing something at the game awards or just blog post when it comes to announcements.

Guys I finally got the ps5 and finally hook it up. I got it in couple days ago and hook it up today. I have some questions. Im laying it flat and I’m using the stand and i notice that the stand keeps detach, is that normal ? Also i made sure to put rest mode off because it seems Sony hasn’t fix the issue, is that good ? Also i my hdd plug in for my ps4 games. Now with the ps5 internal its only 650 gbs. Now has anyone install the new ssd and if so how hard is it and is it recommended?

I've been putting my PS5 in rest mode since launch never had an issue.

I installed an SSD it's easy. Remove plate, remove a screw, install.
