Re: HDTV Questions and Answer Thread
No, I would try an indoor antenna, you can get a TERK one for like 20 bucks. See if you can pick up anything. Once you do, you should be able to put whatever you are watching on your HD input on, and then the OTA in PIP or vice versa.Originally posted by wayne23 -

Re: HDTV Questions and Answer Thread
I would think so. I recently got a Phillips HDTV and went looking for a new OTA at Walmart. They had ones made by Phillips specifically for HDTV. I can notice a difference between it and the old OTA I was using. You should be good to go if you get the one above.Originally posted by wayne23Comment

Should be fine, like GameCock said, you can even find Phillips ones that are made for HDTV that will pull in HDTV signals too. That TERK might, but not sure.Originally posted by wayne23Comment

Yeah, RCA makes HD antenna's as well. They're a little more pricey. Shouldn't need to spend more than $30-35.Originally posted by ExtremeGamerShould be fine, like GameCock said, you can even find Phillips ones that are made for HDTV that will pull in HDTV signals too. Theres no such thing as a HD antenna.. All antennas support OTA broadcast.. Just a marketing ploy to get ppl to pay more for a 'HD' antenna..Originally posted by GAMEC0CK2002Yeah, RCA makes HD antenna's as well. They're a little more pricey. Yeah, I guess the old antenna I had was bad. It kept losing signals. Happy with the one I have now.Originally posted by koolbubbaiceI use a 2 yr old cheap antenna from radio shack.. Odd.. Though.. Its not a HD antenna but I still pick up HD channels..Hmmm..

Re: HDTV Questions and Answer Thread
OK. So I have Narrowed it down to TWO 42" TV's.. im not spending over 2,000 for an HDTV. I need the HD and TV Gurus in here to show me the light between the two. Right now I'm kidna leaning more towards the Samsung DLP just because I have read that DLP TV's have some advantages over regular rear projection. Anyways, here are the two...check them out..show me the light..Im going to pick one or the other up in about an hour.
Do games look good on HDTV rear projection TV's??
The Samsung 42" DLP Rear Projection HDTV (Model# HL-R4266W)
