because my Panny doesn't get 720p (it's about 3 years old) and my new LCD does.

Is HDTV always widescreen? Because sometimes when I'm watching a channel that isn't in the HD "section" (I have Comcast, all the HD channels are the 800s), the picture is 4:3 aspect ratio but looks significantly better than SD broadcasts usually do. This usually happens when I'm watching a Champions League (soccer) match on ESPN2 and I've noticed it on GolTV sometimes as well.

yes, all HD channels are in WS.

some are broadcast digitally and some are broadcast in analog. That's one reason. The cameras also have a lot to do with it.

So if my cable is all digital ( IO cable ) should my SD picture be pretty good on a HD TV. I'm just getting ready to purchase one and was wondering will my SD picture be better on digital feed?

Fellas, I would like your help in finding a 1080P LCD set for my gaming room. I am looking for something in the range of 37-47", and I can go up to about $1900.

I have seen alot of 1080p sets out there, but not all of them have the name recognition I have heard of.

Any help or recommendations would be great, I will be using this tv exclusively for my ps3, xbox360 and watching blu ray movies.

Also, if there are any DLP projection tvs in this price range that are good those would be considered as well.

I really wanted the Sharp Aquos 46" LCD but I couldnt find it at any Best Buy around me so I went with the 47" Phillips Ambilight LCD and I love it so far.

I just purchased a 50" Samsung DLP with LED technology which, doesn't

require you to change the bulb. My question, how long does LED tech. last?

I've searched everywhere for an answer.

Samsung 46 inch 4665 LCD set available on Amazon for under $1600. Amazing set...amazing price. White glove delivery and set up for no charge and no taxes. Incredible deal.

Well, I picked up a 37" LG on Black Friday, and it just died today. At least I get to trade it out but I haven't even had it a month.

We have finally converted to HDTV and it is amazing. I can't go back. Watching this Celtics/Pistons game in HD is amazing to look at.

Well believe or not, there are actually even better deals on sets now that we're closer to Christmas. Especially in the 37" range. You can find a nice set for usually a grand.

Hi guys...I just recently bought a 26" LCD TV (Samsung LN26R71B). I connect my PS3 using the standar AV cables and the image is full of jaggies.

Is this because the standard AV? should I try with component cables?
